Chapter 12 - A Good 'friend'

Ein's POV
It's been a week or so since Blaze and I started getting closer. We hung out alot more, we opened up to eachother more, and he trusted me alot more.

I was on my way to the park, after going off of campus. Classes and lessons have had me cooped up in my room or in the library this past week and I really needed to get out.

I texted Blaze that I would be heading to the park and he said that he'd meet me there a while later. I liked Blaze. Of course not that way but he was a good friend.

I got to the park and sat down on a bench under a few trees. Some werewolves that were there were playing frisbee, some people were having a picnic, kids were playing tag, and it was a surprisingly peaceful afternoon.

I walked around the park a bit, feeling the cold breeze flow through my hair, taking in the fresh air, and listening to some music on my phone. I guess I didnt realize that other people were on the same path I was on, until I bumped into someone.

We walked into eachother cause neither of us were looking where we were going. The person I walked into, fell ontop of me as I landed on the ground.

I opened my eyes to see....Blaze, ontop of me.

We both blushed brightly as he chuckled a bit. He got up and lent me a hand to get up, I sighed. "Why do we always have to bump into eachother like this" I said, kinda embarrassed.

"Fate has a weird way of putting people together...I guess.." He mumbled something as I took off my earphones.

Blaze's POV
"What was that?" He asked me after I mumbled to myself a bit.

"Its n-nothing. I was just asking where you wanted to eat dinner tonight" I replied to him, making up stuff as I went on.

"Oh okay. Well I heard that there were a few new restaurants that had opened in the mall, wanna go check them out?" He stated and asked.

"S-Sure" I said in response. I have no idea why but I act so weird around Ein sometimes..I like him as a friend but.....maybe there's something more to it.

We got to the mall and looked around to find a new Olive Garden franchise that had just opened up recently. We went in and got a table. Ein and I ended up getting the same thing since I couldnt really decide what to eat.

"Hey Blaze?" He asked me

"What?" I replied

"You've been acting kinda weird lately, you've been focusing more on projects than you usually do and you haven't been calling me by the nickname you gave me." He pointed out as we ate.

"Heh, funny you mention that. I always thought you hated that nickname...Blue" I said and smirked a bit.

"I never said I liked it, idiot. Its just kinda weird for you not to call me by it.." He said and continued eating.

"Well....would you rather be called something else..?" I offered.

"Like what?"

"Babe~" I smirked and said jokingly.

His face turned red as he slapped me. He pouted at how flustered I made him and hid his face in his hands.

"You know I was just teasing you, Blue." I giggled quietly.

"You really are an idiot, aren't you." He said and smiled as he looked me in the eye.
