Kate's POV

I had no idea where I was going, I just walked in a daze. I walked and walked and eventually ended up at the park.

I wandered over and sat down, with my back against the tree.

I sat in the shade of the tree and watched the people walking past me, none of them paying any attention to me. It was like I didn't even exist.

"Kate!" I heard someone call.

I jumped slightly and looked around, trying to locate where the voice was coming from.

I eventually saw Ben wandering over to me. I smiled up at him.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"Getting some air." I replied, quickly wiping away my tears.

He sat next to me and started picking at the grass.

"What's going on?" he asked me.

"My ex turned up." I sighed.

"Did he hurt you?!" he snapped.

"No, I'm just so confused." I whispered.

"About what?" he asked.

"I still love Stephen, and now I've started having feelings for someone else." I said quietly.

"I don't know what to do Ben." I added.

"Well would you ever get back with your ex?" he asked.

I shook my head.

"You need to move on then, and tell the other person how you feel." he said quietly.

"Who'd want to be with me, I can't trust anyone." I whispered.

"Not all guys are bad you know." he stated.

I sighed and looked at the floor.

"Is it Mark?" he asked.

I nodded.

"Thought so." he grinned.

"Tell him what happened with your ex and he'll understand." he said.

"Maybe, it's just really hard to talk about." I told him.

"I know." he said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
