Mizzle: to rain in fine drops; drizzle; mist.
In 1926 the mist rolled into town clouding it in uncertainty.
It hasn't left since.
Hazeville used to have a different name, but whatever it was, no one uses it anymore. It has been the film site for dozens of horror movies, but for its residents, it was just the way things were.
Other than the persistent precipitation, Hazeville is a rather ordinary city. Crime was fairly low, it was big enough that not everyone knows everybody but small enough that rush hour was under an hour. The people there were polite enough to strangers and welcoming to friends.
It was your average, Smalltown, USA.
Until the fog went away in 2026 and all of the town's secrets were slowly uncovered.
