You woke up the next day and left the workshop to go back to the park where you lived
"Haven't been here in a while" you said softly to yourself as you looked around and saw some new playground equiptment like swings, a basketball court, skating rink, a bunch of picnic tables aross the hills under umbrella's , a community pool closed off into gates, and a red spinning top thing that you sit on and spin
You walked to the tree you always used to go to
"Okay let's practice" you said to yourself cracking your knuckles when you gently touched the thick roots of the tree where it's sticking out from the ground making green moss form over it with little green leaves sprouting from the corners and spreading around you and the tree now making the dirt base into a grassy leafy base
"Awesome.." you whispered
"I can agree with that"
You immediately jumped up and turned around seeing Jack on his staff balanced perfectly in the air while sitting
"How long have you been here?" You asked
"Ever since you came to the tree" he replied jumping off and walking towards you when you looked back at the ground where your masterpiece lays
"How did you know I was here?" You said shutting your eyes and hugging yourself turning away from him
"I've known you for about 410 if not more, counting when you were alive, I think I would know where you're at" he replied
"And why are you here?" You asked now looking at him still hugging your arms
"Well I'm suppose to go to Kansas but when y passed by I saw you here and wondered if you're okay, you usually don't run off like this" he said
"I'm fine, just practicing" you answered when Jack looked back at the ground where the tree is at
"I can see that now.." He spoke
"You like your new powers?" He asked
"I love them" you replied
"Happy to hear" he responded when you turned to face him
"Jack.. Thank you" you said softly now hugging him when he stood still
"For what?" He asked confused
"For telling North about my powers and for being there for me always" you replied when you kissed his cheek
"Anything for you, Snowflake" he replied dropping his staff and cupping your cheeks
"Don't you have work to do?" You asked wrapping your arms around his waist
"Yeah but I'm more focused on you right now" he replied when he kissed you
"Work first" you remarked pinching his nose
"No way" he laughed
"It's the whole reason why you're a guardian" you continued
"We, we are guardians" jack corrected
"I don't have missions because of my...powers" You backed up and looked at your hands
"North is thinking about giving you your first real mission soon as mother nature" Jack replied when you looked at him
"What?! I don't even know what all my powers can do!" You said
"Isn't that why your here?" Jack responded tilting his head like a confused dog
"Well yeah.." You faded off
