Poem: Colours

Muscle up the path
Motor down the hill
Brushing up on math
Avoiding sorrow pills

Sleet on and off
Sunshine doing the same
The opposite of Goth
Nature playing the Colour Game

Winter's last hurrah
The Spring will rise again
The grizzly ma and pa
Emerging from their den

The cycle starts once more
The seasons flow and wane
Wha' does the decade hold in store?
Joy or grief, pleasure or pain?

Green and grey, brown and yellow
Blue and orange, white and black
Hyper shrieking or quiet mellow
In lofty mansions or shanty shacks

Life plays out while we join
This game of chance and all its risk
Whether we're serious or toyin'
Consequences come, frowns or bliss

Don't give up, never ever
Ride this wave to the end
In calm or stormy weather
I'll be with you always, my friend
