Between Water and Snow (Tomioka Giyuu X Reader)

Cold Memories.

*Y/N's POV

"Y/N?" Tomioka called out.

"Tomioka-san, please leave."

"What happened?" He asked me.

'It's out of his character to ask me such things...' I thought.

"Nothing." I answered cutting the conversation short.

I then got out of the dojo while he did the same.

I headed towards my estate, keeping my head down.

I accidentally bumped into someone. "Watch where you're going." The girl spat at me.

I thought of it as nothing and quickly rushed into my estate.

I took off my haori and placed my nichirin blade on my takumi mats.

I then flopped on my futon and covered my eyes with my arm.

*Flashback 7 years ago*

It was a stormy night, and I had just gotten in my futon.

Right as I was about to sleep, I heard my younger brother call me.

"Nee-san!" He yelled. I sat up on my futon looking towards him.
Lightning flashes, and he runs to me.

"Nee-san!!!" He yelled again as he tackled me in fear.

I fell over back-first with a crying Zenitsu on top of me.

"What is it Nitsu-chan?" I asked him.

"I'm scared." He says, shifting to my left, hugging my left arm tightly.

I shifted over to my left as the sound of lightning and thunder emerge again.

Zenitsu buried his face on my chest, tears streaming down his face as soft whimpers were heard.

I looked at his small frame.

"Nitsu-chan." I spoke softly.

He perked his head up and looked at me.

"Don't be afraid." I say smiling to him.

"I'm here."

"I promise I'll always be here for you."

He hugged me.

"Promise me?"

"Promise."

*Timeskip 6 months later*

Zenitsu's face rolled down with tears once more.

His expression broke my heart into many pieces.

But I had to leave.

I had to.

I did it to protect him.

"You're leaving?" He asked me with a whisper.

"But you promised me!" He cried.

"Nitsu, I-"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!"

"MY SISTER WOULD NEVER LEAVE ME!!!"

"YOU'RE NOT MY SISTER!!!" He yelled, running away as he broke my heart with those words.

I slumped to the ground as sadness crashed over me.

"I'm sorry..."

"I'm sorry Zenitsu..."

"Caw!!! Wake up Y/N!!!" My kasugaigarasu yelled at me.

"What is it?"

"Oyakata-sama has summoned you to his estate, Caw!!!" It says.

"Alright then." I wiped my tears and gave my kasugaigarasu a snack.

I grabbed my haori and nichirin blade again, and went to the Ubuyashiki estate.

'What would he want this time?'
