wrestling with change

I pass every kid before each period,

Every smile seems monotone.
We're all just trying to get through the day,
Make our money, and go home.

All the friends that I used to have,
Came and went like the blink of an eye,
And now I'm here and learning how to make new ones,
It's a maze inside this mind.

I can't figure out what the slope of the line is,
When will mine stop? Feels like it's never-ending.
Just trying to fit in with the cliques and it's so hard.
