   Sophie:
     "This is amazing!" Dex exclaimed after his first bite, lots of chocolatey marshmallow sauce dripping down his chin. Biana stretched out her hand and wiped it off. A moment later the two of them turned bright red. The rest of us shared a look.
"Ooooooooh," Marella mouthed. I noticed she and Linh were next to each other, again. "So that just happened!"
"No, it was just...it was an....instinct!" Biana tried to cover up.
"Yeah, right. Pretty sure no one's gonna believe that." Fitz winked at his sister, causing her to glower at him.
"Whatever, it's getting late anyways. Maybe we should go to bed?" I interrupt. Biana has spared me from humiliation too many times for me not to do the same.
    "Great idea Sophie. Everyone, to your sleeping bags!" Biana responds, flashing me a thankful smile. The girls—me, Linh, Marella, and Biana—are sleeping in Biana's room. The boys—Fitz, Tam, Keefe, and Dex—are sleeping in Fitz's room across the hall. I quickly change into my onesie-a fuzzy, sparkly, silvery-white one with an alicorn horn sticking up. Biana had insisted that we all get matching alicorn onesies, and when she wants something like this, nothing is going to stop her.
After saying goodnight to everyone I crawled into my sleeping bag, admiring for the thousandth time how intricate the drawings on it were. Keefe had personally made sleeping bags for all of us after our victory against the Neverseen. Everyone else's had a drawing of themselves as well as Calla's panakes tree in the background, but mine had me and Keefe soaring high in the sky on the backs of Silveny and Greyfell. Biana and Dex had teased me endlessly about it after he first gave it to me, although the drawings had absolutely nothing to do with what they insisted it did. Keefe and I just had many memories with the alicorns.
Biana, Marella, and Linh came in shortly afterwards. I pretended to be asleep; I was really tired and in no mood to take part in their gossipy sleepover sessions, as Keefe called them. I don't know when I fell asleep, but it must have been very soon because I didn't have tim to hear them whispering and giggling.
Knock knock
creaaaaak
I hear a sound at the doorway and sit up, terrified. I know that the Neverseen are done, never ever coming back. But they still haunt me. I reach under my sleeping bag and grip the dagger I brought. Call me crazy, but I would feel basically naked without a weapon at all times.
"Psssst. Foster." I hear someone whisper from outside. "It's Keefe. Get up."
I tiptoed to the door and quietly pulled it open. There stood Keefe, looking as ridiculous as me in his silvery midnight blue alicorn onesie.
"What are you doing?" I hiss, mad that he woke me up. "It had better be important. I have a dagger and I'm not afraid to use it!"
"Keefe grins. "Whoa! Note to self: do not wake Miss Grumpypants in the middle of the night. Got it."
I sigh. Why can't I stay mad at Keefe??? "Okay, so I have an idea. But you're gonna need to be a bit less responsible than you've become, and a little more like the crazy, powerful Foster that would always disappear on another adventure. Teleporting to the Forbidden Cities, perhaps...?" He smiles, and it suddenly dawns on me what he's thinking.
"Uh...no. I have sleeping to do. Also, they could notice we're gone, and that would be...something." I reply.
"Too bad. I may have to break a few laws of the Mesmers then..." Shoot. I forgot. Keefe is also a Mesmer. He was given the ability by his freaky mother, who verbally abused him throughout his whole life. She was now in Exile, happily guarded by Ro, Keefe's old bodyguard, the ogre Queen now, and a friend to all of us. Back to the moment.
"NO. Fine. But just this once, okay? And if we get caught it's all your fault." I crossed my arms, annoyed that Keefe had once again persuaded me into doing something. Or maybe part of me had longed to visit the human world all along. I pictured the first thing that came to mind: Disneyland. And with a whoosh of wind, we were there.
