Marinette buried herself behind all her clothes. The knocking continued, then she heard a hiss, whoosh, then the wham! Something had flung itself onto the Apprentice!
There were the sounds of a cat fighting a bird out there, and Marinette peeked through the closet lock and saw through the window. Chat Noir was on the Apprentice's back, clawing at the wings, sending him off balance! Chat Noir leapt of his back landing on the balcony.
"CATACLYSM!" He yelled.
The butterfly boy froze in fear.
The cat grinned with his fist extended. He chuckled, putting the other hand on his hip.
"A little bee told me that once the mask is destroyed an Apprentice goes back to normal. And forgets everything just like an akumatized victim from the good old days."
The Apprentice scowled and turned to fly away. Then a rope whizzed out from the street below and tied the fleeing butterfly up! Queen Bee leapt up holding the end of the spinning top that captured the butterfly, and laughed.
"All yours, Chat!"
She flung the enemy towards the balcony, and Chat Noir grabbed his mask, destroying it. The Apprentice's armour and wings vanished, and a boy fell out of the air. Rena Rouge and Carapace jumped down beside Chat.
Rena caught the boy.
"I'll take him." she smiled.
"Where? Every Apprentice we stop end up going back to Hawkmoth to be re-evilized." Chat said.
Carapace patted Chat's shoulder. "Let him go in the streets. What more can we do?"
Queen Bee flicked her ponytail. "Guys. Ladybug is priority."
"Right." the whole team said at once.
Marinette hiding in her room smiled. Her cheeks went red knowing that they were protecting everyone.
Rena Rouge waved. "Me and turtle are gonna go. We need to save more people getting captured."
"Yeah, let's go." he agreed.
Rena leapt down into the streets and placed the de-evilized boy on the pavement. Then she and Carapace leapt away.
Queen Bee frowned at Chat.
"I miss Ladybug."
Chat looked at the fortress. "We'll find her." Queen Bee saw the look in his eyes, then smiled.
"Hawkmoth better get ready. We're still out here, and we'll protect Paris. And Ladybug."
She winked, and was off in a flash.
Chat Noir turned to Marinette's window, and gave her a side smile. She blushed, and waved back looking at the ground. He saluted and jumped away.
Mari fell down in her chair. School started in 20 minutes, but she was scared to go out. What if someone saw her? What if her team weren't there next time?
