CH.23 Our Backstory

Y/N's POV
Seonghwa and I were hanging out together a lot more often and it was the best thing ever. I have feelings for him I know I do. Every time I see him my heart just skips a beat. My eyes are always locked on him. Hongjoong and I have been hanging out often as well but not as much as Seonghwa and I. I've gotten along with Hongjoong more and I feel safer being next him. Knowing at first he was scary and dangerous to face I've overcame my fears towards him and I feel a lot more safer with him. It was soon to be dark out and everybody was downstairs except for Hongjoong and I.
Hongjoong: y/n?
I turned around and I see him standing in the doorway of his "private room" and I walked towards him and tilted my head.
Hongjoong: what?
Y/n: you look very tired
Hongjoong: what are you talking about? I'm not tired
Y/n: you haven't slept for 5 days I think you need some rest
Hongjoong: no no no I'm fine don't worry but come in here
I nodded and headed inside. He closed the door and looked at me.
Y/n: what do you want?
Hongjoong: when we first met you I'm sure they told you that if you gotten along with me I'll tell you our backstory
Y/n: oh yeah
Hongjoong: today is the day I'll tell you
Y/n: really?
Hongjoong: yeah so sit down
I nodded and sat down and he just stood there looking down at me.
Hongjoong: who's story you want to know first?
Y/n: hmmm Yeosang
Hongjoong: Yeosang had a good life...with his brother Keonhee and his family but not for a long time..his parents were training both of them but Yeosang kept messing up and they were angry at him and refused to train him so they stopped training him and continued training Keonhee...
Y/n: wait what? What do you mean by training? Like improving their powers?
Hongjoong: yes..Keonhee would try to help him but he didn't know much either..
Y/n: oh but how come Yeosang became king when Keonhee is older than him?
Hongjoong: o-oh that's because Keonhee left before he did
Y/n: wait what?? Why?
Hongjoong: Keonhee was supposed to be king but he didn't want to so he ran away so they made Yeosang king but he didn't want to become king either because he can't rule a kingdom while he's weak so he ran away as well he also wanted to explore the world so that's his other reason for leaving
Y/n: oh but is Yeosang dying?
He froze and stared at the ground not saying a word. I became very worried and stood up.
Y/n: is he??
Hongjoong: Yeosang became weaker meaning that he can't do anything anymore...but a week ago we had him rest for 3 days and after those 3 days of resting I had him start training again
Y/n: so does that mean he's gonna live?
Hongjoong: yes he's improving his powers..he was close to dying actually..
Y/n: what?!? And you didn't tell me?? Why??
Hongjoong: because I know that you and Yeosang are really close friends and if you found out about it you'd be sad and I didn't want you to be sad so we kept it a secret from you
Y/n: oh...well I'm glad he's alive
Hongjoong: we all are now who's next?
Y/n: Mingi
Hongjoong: Mingi was a very happy person..he was very kind and very protective especially with his brother Leedo...
Y/n: what's his reason for becoming king before Leedo and his reason for leaving the kingdom
Hongjoong: their parents thought that Leedo wasn't ready to become king so they had Mingi become king and Leedo was very upset about it and refused to talk him...Mingi became miserable in there and he felt bad because of Leedo so him and Yunho ran away together
Y/n: wait him and Yunho?
Hongjoong: yeah they're best friends Yunho would always come over to the kingdom and hang out with him and one night Mingi was very upset and Yunho was there and Mingi had the idea to run away and Yunho agreed with him and boom they ran away
Y/n: oh but what happened with Leedo
Hongjoong: he was gonna talk to Mingi the same day he ran away and Leedo found out that he wasn't there and he started to freak out and became very worried so he left the kingdom to look for him but eventually he gave up
Y/n: oh..no wonder Leedo seemed so sad all the time...he told me he was looking for somebody but gave up
Hongjoong: huh...well who's next?
Y/n: Yunho
Hongjoong: he actually didn't mind becoming king his family was proud of him but..
Y/n: but?
Hongjoong: his parents didn't like that he was friends with us especially with Mingi
Y/n: what? Why?
Hongjoong: well..we acted like fools sometimes and stuff like that when we're with him and he joins along with us and his parents thought that we were being bad influencers and that he was gonna be a not so good king
Y/n: oh
Hongjoong: yeah they also thought we were being bad influencers to Xion
Y/n: really?
Hongjoong: yup anyways Yunho didn't like how his parents were forcing him to stop hanging out with us but he refused so he left the kingdom and went to Mingi's kingdom and then that's where they started planning to run away
Y/n: wait why don't they like Mingi?
Hongjoong: because he was worse than us
Y/n: what do you mean?
Hongjoong: he would sneak out at night and he would actually kill people as a hobby but eventually stopped after being caught and sent to court and stuff
Y/n: WHAT?!?
Hongjoong: shhh! You're gonna wake up the others
Y/n: sorry but he used to kill? As a hobby?
Hongjoong: yeah when we found out Seonghwa and I gave him some consequences for doing that
Y/n: oh my god..
Hongjoong: but don't worry he doesn't do it anymore unless if he has to
Y/n: good...now what about Wooyoung?
Hongjoong: his family was not so great towards him
Y/n: why not?
Hongjoong: they thought he was too immature to become king but they let him become king since Jeongin is still too young to become one but 2 weeks later Wooyoung ran away because he was tired of his family except for Jeongin..he left a letter for him before running away
Y/n: oh..poor Wooyoung
Hongjoong: yeah that's why he doesn't mess around with us as much as he used to because he's scared he might be acting immature
Y/n: damn..well what about San?
Hongjoong: San ran away from the kingdom
Y/n: why?
Hongjoong: his family wouldn't understand him with a bunch of things and he was really sad that they never understood him
Y/n: but what about Changbin?
Hongjoong: no..he didn't understand San either..they didn't even care so much when he became king and when he ran away after the whole coronation ended..they still didn't care except for Changbin for some reason..if you mention the kingdom or his family he'll get angry so don't mention anything
Y/n: okay
Hongjoong: alright who else?
Y/n: Jongho
Hongjoong: they kicked him out
Y/n: WHAT?!??
Hongjoong: y/n what the hell did I just tell you??
Y/n: I'm sorry but why?? What did he do?!
Hongjoong: they were scared of him
Y/n: huh?
Hongjoong: he was the strongest out of the kingdom so they feared that he might injure somebody or something I don't know but it's really stupid
Y/n: yeah it is it's the fucking kingdom of strength
Hongjoong: yup
Y/n: does he not have any siblings?
Hongjoong: no he's an only child but since he haves us he's not an only child
Y/n: well that's good that he has you guys
Hongjoong: yeah
Y/n: you don't need to tell me about Seonghwa
Hongjoong: what? Why?
Y/n: because he already told me a long time ago
Hongjoong: oh well okay
Y/n: now tell me about you..why did you leave the kingdom?
Hongjoong: I was fine at first living in the kingdom but after I became king I felt odd and not myself so I dropped the crown to the ground and left
Y/n: oh then how did you guys became a crew?
Hongjoong: we didn't know each of us left the kingdom I ended up finding Yunho and Mingi together and I questioned them what they were doing out here and they explained everything to me and so we stayed together until we found the rest one at a time and then we formed ourselves into a pirate crew calling us the Pirate Kings
Y/n: oh..do you know anything about ONEUS? Or Stray Kids?
Hongjoong: I don't know much about the rest
Y/n: damn
Hongjoong: y/n?
Y/n: yeah?
Hongjoong: where'd you get the necklace? I just noticed
Y/n: oh Seonghwa gave it to me
Hongjoong: what? Do you even know what's the meaning of that necklace?
Y/n: not really
Hongjoong: it's a compass right?
Y/n: yeah
Hongjoong: does it say "forever by your side"?
Y/n: yeah?
Hongjoong: he just kinda confessed his feeling for you
Y/n: what??
