Adam's niece

"Hey Adam!" Alice walked up to him and gave a hug
Alice is Adams sister.
"Nice to see you again, Alice" he smiled with a grind remebering all the old times
"Look at you being a cop. You always dreamed of one and now look- a detective" Alice said laughing
"Well Chicago hasn't seen a better one" Adam laughed back
"Hey Nicole" Adam said and gave him a high five.
"Hey" Nicole just said giving him a high five back
Nicole is Adam's niece..
"So, what made you want to move back to This part of Chicago?" They all were sitting down at a coffee shop and talking, when Adam asked
"My mom died a couple of months ago, and i got a  divorce with Mark, so i needed a reminder of good, old times" Alice said with a grind
"I'm sorry, i know for myself divorces are messy, especially with children" Adam said sipping his coffee
"Mom is badass, so she decided to move away the second, when she told me" Nicole said hidding her face in her book
"Nicole" her mom laughed
"She sure has a point" Adam laughed back
"and If you are going to not listent to your mom, you are going to have to deal with me, you know"  Adam laughed and said

Spring, March 4th, 5:03 AM

"Alice? Why are you calling? What are you doing this early up?" Adam said in a morning voice, because the call just woke him up
"She is gone." Alice shortly replied
Adam could hear her sobbing in the background.
"Who is gone?" He jumped up and asked
"She..Nicole is not here." Alice said back quitley
"What? Stay there, i'm om my way" Adam said and started to get dressed

Apartment 35b.

"Alice?" Adam saw that the door was opend
"Adam, i swear she was here at midnight, and now she is gone" Alice fell down on her knee's and started crying
Adam got her up and asked "have you tried calling her?"
"That is the thing. She always makes her bed but it is unmaid, her phone is plugged on the charger, her clothes, which she picked out for today, they are still there. All of the stuff which she uses are still in the box, Adam, she is gone, she would NEVER run away" Alice started crying again
"Im gonna call CPD, and we are going to find her. I promise." He said while taking out his phone.

The same apartment, Alice's office.
"Alice, are you sure that she didn't just run away?" Voight asked and was writting down the information what Alice was saying
"Voight" Alice said in a quite, deppresing voice
"Why do you think, she didn't run away? Why do you think she was kidnapped?" Voight asked and pulled out a new blank page.
"She is a good kid, Voight. She is home early, doesn't do anything like drugs. We packed a minimum amount of stuff to bring now. To see the apartment. Nothing what she packed has been taken. Everything is there." Alice said while looking at the ground.
"She doesn't even know here anyone. Today was meant to be her first day of school in this district." She continued
"Have you got any enemies or anything like that?" Voight continued
"I got a divorce a couple of weeks ago with her father, but he is a good man. He rarely even picked up the tone of his voice on her." Alice said while looking at Voight
"Is there anything else?" Voight picked up his head and asked
"No, there is not" Alice stud up
"Alice, look, i know Nicole is a good kid, i've known her for several years. Looking at her bedroom, it could be the fact, that her she was kidnapped. And it problably is" Voight said in a low voice
"We swept trough the apartment, a couple times in the room, and it had an empty bottle of muscle relaxer and a few others mixes to it. Also we found some hair DNA. Those are talen to the lab right now" Adam went up to Alice and Voight
"So she got knocked out by drugs?" Alice in disbelief asked
"There is a high possibility" Adam replied back
"If you think of anything else what could help,   we are a few minutes away" Voight said and left

"So what have we got?" Voight walked in the room and asked
"Nicole Lodge, 14, was kidnapped on march 4th around the time of 12 AM to 5 AM. All tje evidence was collected and is being run trough our data base." Upton said, hanging up a picture on the board
"An neighbourd heard footsteps, running around 3 AM. We have a good idea, that the person who did this, could be someone who they know" Jay said putting on some evidence on the board
"Asked her mom, linked to a old fiancè, who we are trying to contact." Burgess said

"Just got a message from your suspect." Trudy waked up to the offices and said
"And" Adam stud up and said raising one eyebrow
"So we contacted him, but he did not respond. I got from a dear CI, that he hasn't been home and seen around for a couple of weeks by now." She continued
"Adam, Kim get info about him more" Voight demanded

"Sarge, we got info" Kim and Adam walked in the main office and said
"So apperantly, He has not been to work for a couple of days. He called in sick. And some surveillance cameras show him by a  7-11. A few blocks away from Nicole's home loaction." Kim said and hung up a couple of pictures of him
"Also got info on her biological father. He has an alliby on the night. He is on his way from New York." Burgess stated
"Where does he work?" Voight asked
"He is in real estate" Adam said
" Ruzek, Burgess. bring in Alice" Voight said and Adam left
A while later
"Are there any news?" Alice got up from her sest in the police office
"We are working on more clear info." Adam sat down and asked
"So? Do you have a clue where she could be?" Alice asked. Her face is all red from crying
"I hate to ask you this, but, why did you break up with John?" Adam asked straight eye-to-eye
"Adam, i dated him a couple of weeks ago. He didn't want to move to this part of Chicago" Alice said in confussion
"Do you know the exact reason?" Adam asked back
"I don't really know. I gave him a couple of reasons why i wanted, he never really told me" Alice said
"Alice, from our sources, we got information, that he didn't like Nicole. He always said that, if she was with her father everything would be diffrent. She was the third wheel." Adam said watching Alice breaking down again
"What? So you are telling me, that he took her?" Alice got up and asked
And then, her ,ex fiancé Mark, walked in and asked: " who took her?"
"Mark? I didn't know, that this would happen, i'm so sorry. If i would have knew this, i wiuld never have letted him in neither Nicole's life, neither mine." She sobbed across Mark
"Alice, calm down. You did not know, that this could happen. The main thing, is that we know who took her." Mark pulled in Alice for a hug and said

34 hours have passed

"we just got info sarge. She was seen across the whole town." Atwater walked in the room and said
"So we need to move then. We don't know what he could be planning to do." Voight said and the whole team got up and left

2 hours later.

"We just got a word from patrol. They are in south avenue, in the park" Jay said
"We are on our way" Atwater said on the radio
"We are here. " Adam said and All three got out of the car.
They took a short walk to find him taking her in a building
By now, the whole team was together
"Let's split up. 2 go there, you two go on the right side, you two come with me" Voight grouped everyone and said
He opend the door and shouted "CHICAGO CPD"
they enterd a room with him, holding Nicole in his hands and a gun pointing to her head.
"Put the gun down" Voight said
"You shoot me, i shoot her" he said
"Okay, let's do it in the easy way. I put my gun down, and you put your down" Voight continued
"What is even the point? I am gonna be arrested one way or another. Atleast if im in prison, i need to do something normal" He said back with a grind
"By killing your ex girlfriends daughter?" Voight got one step closer and asked
" if she wasn't so close to mommy dear, then i would have been happy with Alice now, but look what she has done." He shouted back
"But it is over now. You cam let her go" Voight said back
"Nothing is over. She ruined my life, and she has to pay" he said and he had a tear come down her face
And then there was a bang and he fell on top of Nicole
They all immediatley ran up and took the body off her
Adam took in Nicole for a hug and she said:" i thought, that i was gonna die. I was going to die here" she was crying hard
"You would have not died. Everything is okay. You are okay." He was calming her down
"Where is mom, dad?" She looked up to Adam and asked
"They are on the way" He said
"Wait, Adam, but you got to save the others" Nicole unexpectedly said
"Save who?" He asked
"The kids. There are upstairs." She said back
"We are gonna go. Stay" Jay said and a couple of police officers went upstairs
"Did he do anything to you?" Adam asked
"No." She said
"You don't know how worried i was kid. Don't ever make another scare like this" Adam said and pulled her in for another hug
"Nicole?" Alice shouted from across the room
"Mom!" She shouted back and ran up to her mom and dad
"My baby, you are okay" she started crying again and said
