“Now you’re going to do that thing to reenergize yourself. While you do that, I’m going to go find something besides these red fruits for you to eat so you can get your strength back. This place will be locked down while I’m gone. There’s no way to open it without me, got it? So, don’t even try to escape.” She lifted me back into her arms and carried me to my makeshift bed. I curl closer to her absorbing more of her warmth.
“Where would I even go?” I see her smile at my response before she sets me down and leaves. The little light that had been on turned off as the large door shut behind her and I curl up and pass out within seconds.

Nine Hours Later
“Hey, I’m back with food. Time to get up.” I moan turning on my side.
“Not now Amethyst.” Before my brain can prosses anything, I’m jolted from my slumber by a large hand grasping my shirt and hoisting me into the air. As my eyes adjust to the new lighting I am face to face with a very angry looking Jasper.
“What did you just call me?” She askes through gritted teeth. I honestly don’t remember what I had said, I was still half asleep. I put my hands up defensively and try to calm her rage.
“I’m sorry! I was half asleep! I don’t know what I said. Please, Jasper I’m sorry.” She clicks her tongue angerly and drops me back on the bed.
“I’ll let it slide this one time. DON’T let it happen again. Now come eat.” She walked over to the table where a large bag sat wiggling on it.
