*Justin's POV*

Leaving Y/N feeling so sad really made my heart break... But I told her from the start that I wasn't looking for anything serious; I was just looking for a good time without any strings attached. Perhaps I should have dealt with my relationship with her differently? Maybe we should have just become friends instead of two people dating... But honestly, why do we need to rush into things? Why are we so anxious about what's next? Why not just enjoy the time we actually have together? It is known that a slow and steady relationship is the winning race...

I decided to go back to the studio instead of actually going home and getting some sleep, which was something that I was desperately in need of. I was desperate to go back to the studio to try and write something about the way I was feeling at this exact moment, and inside my head lyrics were running around trying to get out of my head. I parked my car right outside the studio and went inside the dark building, then I went directly into the studio that I had booked for months and months only to see Josh still sitting by the mixer, mixing one of the songs we had recorded earlier today. "Man, you're still here?" I asked him as I placed my stuff on the couch, I then took off my suit jacket and loosened my tie. "Hey, yeah... I can't get this new song out of my head, so I just thought I would try and finish it, then go home and get to actual sleep" he chuckled. I nodded at his words, then proceeded to sit down next to him and rub my face. "How was your date with Y/N?" Josh then asked. I leaned back in my chair and thought about how the night had been. It had honestly been one of the best dates I've ever been on, except for the last few minutes by her door. "I mean, it went great until I told her I was trying to avoid disappointment, which was why I wouldn't stick around for a drink," I told him. Josh's eyes went wide, then he quickly looked back at the mixer. "Sounds like you kinda fucked up there, man" he truthfully told me. I groaned and rubbed my face once again. "I know I did, but right now I am just going to focus on these lyrics that I have in my head, then I'll call Y/N tomorrow," I told him, to which he nodded. I got up from the chair, then I went into the tiny booth and sat down on the floor with a notebook and a pencil and suddenly it was 5 am, so I went home to get some sleep.

*Y/N's POV*

After Justin left, I went straight to bed and slept until noon the next day. I had turned off my phone before I had gone to bed because I didn't want anyone to contact me in that state of mind, so when I turned it back on that next morning I was surprised to see a few missed calls from Justin and some unread texts from friends and family. I know it wasn't fair to ignore Justin's calls, but I honestly didn't feel like talking to him about what had gone on the night before, so I decided not to call him back. I texted my friends and my family back, then I got out of bed and went into the kitchen to get something to eat. I wasn't hungry, but I also knew I wouldn't get anything done if I didn't eat something. As I was looking for something to eat, I caught my reflection in one of the windows, and to tell you that I looked bad was an understatement. My eyes went wide, and instead of finding something to eat, I decided to rush into my bathroom to try and get the situation under control. I quickly removed the makeup from last night and then I ran a brush through my hair, already a little better. I then pulled my hair into a low bun and secured it with a few bobby-pins. I then left the bathroom and went to go find something to wear. Oh, how I wish I had one of Justin's hoodies to wear right now...

Instead of sulking about his hoodies, I kept on searching for a simple, but comfortable outfit to wear for the rest of the day. I ended up just grabbing a pair of yogapants and a long sweatshirt. I quickly got dressed, then I left the room and went to my living room to binge-watch some tv. As I was watching tv, my phone kept on going off because Justin kept calling me. Eventually, though, the calling stopped, thank God... Or actually, now the calling stopped I felt a little empty. Had he already given up on me? I can't believe I could feel this way after only going on three dates with him, had I already fallen that hard for him?

An hour had passed since Justin last called, and I had used the hour flipping through channels on my television, but nothing caught my eye... Then suddenly my doorbell rang, which made me confused, and I furrowed my eyebrows as I walked out to see who it was. I looked out through my peephole, and to my surprise, Justin was standing right outside with flowers in one hand and a box of chocolates in the other. I immediately softened up and unlocked the door. Justin met me with his iconic smile, then he handed me the flowers and tilted his head. "I'm sorry for upsetting you last night," he told me, then he took a step forward and handed me the chocolates, too. Before he could even react, I had wrapped my arms around his neck and attached my lips to his. I without a doubt took Justin by surprise, but he didn't seem to mind the kiss at all! Quite the opposite actually; Justin placed his hands on my waist and deepened the kiss. He was an amazing kisser, and I am sure I could stand here the entire day kissing him!

"Thank you for the flowers and the chocolate" I whispered against his lips as we pulled away from each other. Justin gently smiled and kept looking back and forth between my eyes and my lips. "You're welcome" he then said and placed his lips on mine once again. "Wanna come inside and maybe watch a movie?" I asked him as we broke away from one another. Justin nodded, then he removed his hands from my waist and proceeded to take off his shoes. Before going to the living room, I first went into the kitchen to get a vase for the beautiful flowers Justin had gotten me. After putting them in some water I brought them into the living room with me, where Justin was already sitting on the couch slouching a little. "Getting comfortable, I see" I jokingly told him as I placed the flowers on the coffee table. Justin immediately sat up straight and looked around nervously to which I couldn't help but laugh a little. "Justin, I'm joking... Please make yourself feel at home" I told him, then I sat down beside him and grabbed the remote to switch over to Netflix.

"Before we start a movie I just want to talk about some things," Justin said as he turned towards me. I gulped and nodded my head, then I placed the remote on the table and turned my attention towards him. "I regret saying that you're gonna be a disappointment, but I don't regret telling you that I wanna take things slow... My previous relationships were pretty rushed, and we barely even got to know each other before we went further in the relationship. I wanna do things right this time and just go with it, see where time takes us", he honestly told me. A gentle smile formed on my lips as I took in what he had just said, and I completely agreed with him. "It's not like I'm expecting you to ask me to move in with you, we've only been on three dates, and I also want to see where this takes us, no rush," I told him. I could see how happy Justin was with my answer, and seconds later his lips were on mine in a loving kiss. And to tell you the truth, we never actually watched a movie together that day.
