"Yoongi, hold up!" Jin shouted as he started to jog towards the speed-walking boy. The students had been dismissed rather quickly after hearing a brief summary of what Mr Kim aimed to achieve, all, unsurprisingly, quite stunned.
Not stopping to look back at the shouting brunet, Yoongi let out an aggravated "What?"
"You know, you're part of the team now. We're going to be spending a lot of time together. You might want to drop the attitude," Jin said, not letting the younger's clear annoyance faze him.
"I don't owe you anything. I'm doing this for myself. Not for Mr Kim. And certainly not for you," Yoongi bit back.
"I get that. We all have our reasons. But that doesn't change the fact that we need to at least try to get along if we want to make a good team."
"Well, guess I'll just have to avoid you then, won't I?"
"What did I ever do to you, Min?"
Yoongi clearly had had enough and decided to turn around to face Jin. "Why are you doing this? What's your reason? You can act like the good guy all you want but that doesn't change the fact that you're one of them by blood. Do you even know what oppression feels like? I don't trust you, Kim. I think that's reason enough to avoid you, don't you?"
And with that, Yoongi walked away, leaving Seokjin watching after him, exasperated and fatigued.

"... don't you?"
"Huh?"
"You weren't paying attention were you?" Junkook asked with a small smile.
"I'm sorry. I zoned out. I can't stop thinking about what just happened," Hoseok replied sheepishly.
"Yeah, it's a lot, isn't it?"
The pair continued to walk along the almost desolate corridors, a comfortable, contemplative silence settling between them. A couple seconds passed until Hoseok spoke up. "I'm sorry, what were you talking about before?"
"Oh, I was just saying that I think this might be a fun experience, don't you?"
After realising that the younger was being completely serious, the red-head shook his head a bit in disbelief, asking, "What kinds of things do you do in your spare time for this to be considered fun? Should I be worried?"
"Oh, come on, Hoseok. Lighten up! We'll be able to live together, bond with new people. Besides, this place is huge! We'll be able to do so many different things together, just you and me, get to know each other better!"
"Yeah, completely ignore the oppressive government we're trying to take down and the terrifyingly high likelihood of us getting caught and then most probably killed at any given moment. I physically can't contain my excitement, Kook. Can you tell? Is it too obvious?" However, despite his sarcastic quips, Hoseok couldn't help the small smile of endearment spilling out due to the brunet's adorable enthusiasm and excitement at the prospect of getting to know him better and spending more time with him.
"We have nothing to worry about. We're safe as long as we're with Mr Kim, trust me. He's really close with Jimin and he's helped him out a lot," Jungkook continued to reassure.
"Right. Jimin. How long have you known him for?"
"We've been friends since we were little. He's an amazing person. I think you'll get along with him really well," Jungkook said with a smile.
