Little Squirrel

9 years then ......

They listened
They sat and watched everything ....

They lay down under the tall trees as the leaves sway and flirt with the wind

They watched the clouds forming into thousands of shapes

They can also hear the birds singing a happy song that made them feel very welcomed

They can feel the breeze as they swirl there fingers above the tickling leaves

But Olivia wanted more .
She wanted to go and Chase the birds and climb the trees but she wasn't quiet certain if Mr Ace would let her ..

She layed down beside him on the light colored fabric .
Olivia couldn't deny the fascinating feeling , she loved this garden desperately that Mr Ace can't refuse having a walk or a picnic after noon once a week at least

Olivia glanced at Mr Ace on the corner of her eye and surprised, she found him asleep but she wasn't sure.. that she had to call him

" Mr Ace ? "

She shook his arm but no respond .
She wasn't sure when did he drifted to sleep on such day

Olivia with her devilish mind knew what to do ...

She stood on her both legs and then her eyes landed on a brow reddish soft fur , it was little ... oh it was a squirrel

Olivia stated walking toward it silently trying not to wake Mr Ace up

She sort of tiptoed untill she reached down the tree

She had a good look at his tiny dark black eyes and his long stretched tail

But , suddenly the squirrel started running on the tree branches

" wait "
Olivia hissed and started chasing the squirrel head up all the time

Feeling like Alice chasing the rabbit the squirrel stopped ..

Olivia took a quick glace at the tree branch making sure it will handle her ... before the started climbing the tree carefully to reach the little squirrel ...

And from now she was nearly close to the squirrel .
She wanted to study it , maybe they can friends or Olivia's little pet

Olivia stood barefoot on the branch still studying that little squirrel then she stretched her right arm to reach the little squirrel with her tiny little hands

But surprisingly another one came out from some sort of a nest

It sized a bit two times bigger than the tiny one so Olivia thought that it must be it's parent

Olivia gave a generous smile thinking how cute they look but then her smile faded when she realized that she can't take the little squirrel home ... not when it has a parent where it belong to .....

Olivia looked down upset and as she was about to turn around so she can get down on the ground .... She heard a  sound .... it was the tree branch broke apart .....

Krack

She landed on her right hip and she felt a sudden raw pain on her right knee too

She groaned painfully and reached her hands to cover her bleeding knee and for somehow the blood couldn't control her from panicking so she started crying regretfully

Suddenly , she heard a running footsteps ... of course it was Mr Ace

Olivia was scared he would feel disappointed or mad at her but then when he saw her laying on the ground , dirt covered her so as the blood covered mostly her full right leg ... Mr Ace freezed on place

Olivia saw the fear and worry on his eyes as he glance at her and without thinking twicely he reached her and carried her with both arms trying not to touch her wounded knee

Olivia sank her little head crying on his bare chest as he walked towards the house on hurry

Olivia sat on the kitchen bar chair as Mr Ace put on some antiseptic to heal her knee bruise . Olivia flinched when he put on the antiseptic with a tiny peace of cotton

Mr Ace was on his knees while focusing heeling her tiny knee .... he couldn't hide his disappointed that much

Olivia was aware what she did was wrong and she couldn't find a good reason to explain what happened so apologizing would be enough as she thought

" Mr Ace , I'm sorry I didn't mean to ..... "

Mr Ace cut her off

" I don't wanna hear your apologize but enough for you to realize what you did was wrong . I wasn't scared when you wasn't beside me .. Olivia I was terrified and I hope you can get that "
He was breathing uncomfortably

Olivia regretted her actions and her eyes started getting red once again

Mr Ace brought his attention back to her after a raped her bruised knee with a fabric band

Mr Ace saw the regret on her innocent face so he chose to forgive the little girl

" I forgive you dear and I'm very sorry about your wounded leg ..."

" will I be able to walk again ? "
She asked with a terrified look

Mr Ace cringed at her question and gave a half smile

" don't be dramatic , it's just a small bruise . It will cover up soon "
Mr Ace said while holding both her tiny hands to help her stand up

Olivia cleaned herself from the dirt that covered her body and her light colored dress which was now nearly yellow that Olivia felt bad for her dirty dress

Olivia was also lucky that the day went fine and bright as usual and thank God Mr Ace didn't mention the accident at dinner with Mrs bannet , she would overreact for sure so Olivia put on the longest dress in her closet so she couldn't reveal her bruised knee

After Mr Ace kiss Olivia goodnight she sat on the bed wondering if he would let her go out again . She also blamed the sitauation on the little squirrel but then she thought that her curiosity is the one to be blamed

Olivia appreciated Mr Ace's caring and his fear toward her and the thought made her relax until she was taken away by her wildest dreams that said ....
