Quote of the chapter: "I don't know what's going to happen tonight. At this point, I can't remember who loves us and who hates us. Let's make tonight our bitch." Rosemarie Hathaway 😊
Scarlett's POV
I stepped into the building and grinned the decorations were great! There were tables pushed back against the walls each filled with food some held some drool-worthy options others not so much. I was instantly drawn the chocolate fountain I pulled Adrian towards it. He shook his head at me. The other tables had punch residing in large glass bowls. Once we were seated, I took the chance to look around properly. Banners were strung up all around the place with just as many balloons tethered into place, there were hundreds of loose priced of confetti smeared around the tables. The large decorations were near the stage and by that, I mean the chairs for prom king and queen. Flowers were dotted around the place all looking different due to the lights changing colours every few seconds or so. The way the ornaments dangled from the ceiling was almost magical giving off a fairy tale vibe. I loved it.
"So, where's Roxy and Chris?" Asked Adrian. I looked around trying to find them and I did. Chris was standing in front of Roxy she had her arms around his neck. They were kissing. I laughed.
"I believe they are busy." I mused as I pointed in their direction. He let out a snigger before he clasped our hands together.
"I'll get us a drink." He said with a large smile on his face. I nodded smiling back at him. Once he had left, I saw Parker and Riley I think her name is and waved them over. He walked over with a large smirk.
"You look ravishing my love." He flirted and he kissed my cheek. I rolled my eyes at him with a smile on my face.
"You clean up well Daniels." I smiled. He wrote a light grey suit his best wasn't buttoned up leaving his white shirt and tie on show. Casting a glance towards his date. She didn't seem impressed with us conversing. I cast her a friendly smile.
"Your dress is cute." I said trying to be nice. She nodded.
"Thanks... I'd say the same, but I can't." She muttered rudely. Parker cast her a sideway glance of warning. I just smiled at her and continued talking to Parker.
"So, where's lover boy?" He asked with a smirk. I rolled my eyes. I looked around for him and immediately spotted him. He was standing by the wall with two cups in his hand taking to Chris. As if he sensed my gaze, he turned to look at me. He then made his way over towards us Chris in tow. He came behind me and placed his arms around my waist. He rested his head on my shoulder. Roxy soon joined us briefly before dragging me away.
"So, have you told him?" She asked excitedly I blushed nodding.
"I did." I clarified she looked at me grinning. I opened my bag and showed her. She squealed.
"Get ready girl. You'll need it." She smirked I rolled my eyes and grinned.
"You look gorgeous," I gushed. Her dress was a tight fitted one excluding the bottom where the dress flowed out and there was long slit up the side. The dress was a low cut and it showed just the right amount of cleavage it was a beauty the smooth red material has a unique shine to it. The dress itself was like mine sleeveless. It suited her well. She wore it with nude coloured heels and her makeup was just as beautiful as the dress itself it was light and beautiful. "Let's just take a minuet to appreciate your dress!" I squealed. She looked down and did a little turn.
"My dress is nothing compared to yours. I mean wow," She grinned. I hugged her rolling my eyes she's delusional. "Let's dance." She said as she pulled us towards the dance floor that was currently packed with people.
