River Axel

I hold my hand out for her but she only sends me a glare and pushes herself off the bed. I watch in surprise as she slips her leather jacket on and grabs her phone. That was easy.. I was at least expecting an insult or an argument but there she is, waiting with an impatient scowl on her pretty face.

"Well? Are we going or not?" My confused frown lifts into my usual smirk.

I wrap my arm around hers as I make my way to the door, unbothered when she quickly rips hers away from mine. I just shrug and lead her out of the loft. Opening the front door for her apparently didn't get me any brownie points either, the mean scowl on her face made it appear so. Feminists.

I decide to go for a different tactic because she still gets mad at me for chivalry. I never understood or cared about that because I never gave her the option to refuse. But now i know I'm on thin ice so I let her open the door at the bottom of the stairs. She seemed to appreciate this and her scowl tilts into a tiny smirk. The small smile encourages me and my chest puffs as I stop to look at her.

The smirk disappears and she scowls again. "What?" She says irritably through her teeth and I raise my hands in defense.

"How about we go on your bike?" I ask and smile as her cat like eyes light up.

"Really?" She clears her throat and suddenly feigns annoyance. "I mean whatever. I'm driving."

I look at her for a moment and chuckle, shaking my head as I follow her to the gifted motorcycle. The way she strokes the seat before sliding onto it and starting the engine shows exactly how much she loves it. Her shoulders relax and she looks over at me as she holds a helmet out to me that she pulled out from under the seat.

"Let's go princess." She mocks and I laugh, sliding onto the seat behind her.

I put the helmet on and secured the strap but my actions become more unsure when I'm done and don't know what to do with my hands. They hesitate by her waist but falter and she lets out an annoyed breath, grabbing them and placing them around her stomach. "For gods sake. The one time you're afraid to touch me." I don't have to look at her to know she just rolled her eyes.

"Sorry I just.. uh I can hold the strap if you're uncomfortable."

"That's stupid first of all." She backs out and starts pulling out of the parking lot.
