Chapter 4

*Two Months Later*

July 24, 2011

Anari's POV

Me and Shawn have been dating for two months and it's honestly been so fun. The only bad part is that Darrell still doesn't approve. He makes Papa D be rough on Shawn and always sends him on the sketchiest drops.

Also, me and Keisha don't get along. After Darrell finally told me about Keisha being pregnant, she started being insecure and hateful towards me. I remember this one time I was over Darrell's house.

*Flashback*

Me and Alexis were at Darrell's house for dinner and because Alexis missed her KeKe -___- . We both fell asleep after dinner. I woke up after having a bad dream. I walked in Darrell's room (like always). I didn't see Keisha so I got in bed with Darrell. I had just had a dream that Alexis was taken away from me by child services and I never saw her again. I couldn't handle that. I thought it was real.

I told Darrell what happened and he sat up and pulled me in his lap. I cried into his chest until I fell asleep.

"This Bitch! I knew she wanted you and you let her. It's fine Darrell I'll leave you and your hoe to fuck."  Keisha yelled coming into the room, waking me up. I opened my eyes slowly to see that she started grabbing her things. Darrell threw me on the bed and hopped up.

"Baby, it's nothing. She's the sister I never got babe. I swear. Nothing less, nothing more. I would never do that to you and you know that. I love you and my baby. Stop stressin."  Damn at some point in time I thought Darrell had some type of feelings for me. I guess I was wrong..

"awwww babe. But can you make the bitch get out"  and here she go calling me out my name once again.

"Call me out my name and I'll beat your ass. Pregnant or not"  I said sitting up.

"your nothing but a little hoe that will do anything strange for a piece of change. Darrell told me everything"

Tears started forming in my eyes and I got up and tackled Keisha. I punched her in her eye and lip. Darrell pulled me off her.

"get out Anari. Go home. leave Alexis and go"

"Man Bye. You aint nothing  but a bitch ass nigga and ya girl one too" I walked out and grabbed Alexis from her room. I put her in my car and drove back to my condo.

*End of Flashback*

Me and Darrell no longer talk. I don't let Alexis go over there. Papa D gave me a Cherry Red Camaro. My life is wonderful. Well I thought.

"Shawn, I don't like you" I heard Alexis say from my room.

"Alexis be nice!" I yelled. I came out my bathroom with a pair of Shawn's sweatpants and a tank top.

"You got my sweats?" He smirked and said.

"Duh, you left them and they are comfy." I said sitting in his lap. "Alexis, why don't you like Shawn"

"He not like Uncle Darrell. He's not fun. I don't like him. I miss KeKe and Uncle Darrell. They're my new mommy and daddy. I love them so much." She said. Tears formed in my eyes hearing how much she loves them.

"Do you love me Alexis?" I said biting the inside if my cheek.

"No! I love KeKe and Uncle Darrell" she said. I couldn't help it. Tears were streaming down my face.

"W-w-why d-don't you l-love me?" I stammered out. "Nevermind. Goodnight Shawn. You know the way out. Alexis go pack a bag"

"Where I going?"

"Darrell's house"

"Yay!" She ran in her room and started packing.

I thought she loved me. I'm her sister if anything, I thought I was her mom or a motherly figure. I do everything for her. I bought all her school clothes and supplies with every check I get from footlocker. I haven't shopped for myself all summer. There's a week left until she started school and two weeks until I start school.

"I'm ready" she yelled breaking me out my thoughts.

"Ok, come on" I grabbed my keys and walked to the living room for my purse. I got my purse and turned around to see Shawn.

"Shawn! Oh my gosh! You scared me. I thought you left."

"I won't leave you while your like this Anari. Go drop Alexis off. I'll have dinner ready when you get back"

"Ok, I'll be back baby" I said while he picked me up and kissed my lips. "Love you ShawnieBoo"

"I love you to Anariella" I giggled and walked to my car. I made sure Alexis was buckled in and I got in. I drove off to Darrell's house.

I pulled up to Darrell's house and turned the car off. I got out and got Alexis's bag. She had already unbuckled her seatbelt and ran to the door. I walked and stood behind her. Papa D answered it.

"Well, hello stranger and hey miss princess." He says to Alexis and I.

"Hey Papa D" we both said simultaneously. Alexis ran inside the house to look for Keisha or whatever. I don't know and honestly don't care at this point.

"Here's Alexis' bag. I'll be back to pick her up when she's ready if she becomes a problem call me. Umm.. Can you let Shawn off for a few days just two or one? Or a few hours? He's always working and I'm lonely. I have no bestfriend. My sister likes my ex bestfriend and his girlfriend more than she likes me. Correction loves them. My mom and dad are in jail for life. I'm just... I got to go" I felt amazing venting to him. He pulled me into a hug.

"No matter what, Anari. You are my god daughter and I love you like you are my own. Shawn can have two days off. I need him. He's one of my best workers, but anything for you Anari. You better come see me more often, not have Shawn bring Alexis or bring Alexis when you know no one is home but Betty, our maid."

"I'm sorry. I just don't like talking to Darrell or Keisha. I thought he was my bestfriend. I thought hella wrong." I looked up and saw Darrell coming down the stairs. "I got to go" I hurried out the door and walked fast to my car. Darrell followed me and got in the passenger side. I decided not to get in. I hopped on my trunk and waited for him to get out.

He finally got out after 20 minutes and came and stood between my legs. "I'm sorry Anari. I really am. I miss my bestfriend. I miss your fat ass eating my food. I miss hearing your voice. I miss arguing with you about our favorite teams in the NFL and NBA. I miss having your short self jumping on me. I should have never let Keisha talk about you any kind of way. You are my little sister. I consider you my own blood. You know I put blood before any girl. You know that. I heard your conversation with pops and I didn't know you felt like that. I feel like an ass for ignoring you. Just forgive me. I promise I won't ever do you wrong again. I promise. I can prove it too." He pulled out a ring with 'Darrell's bestfriend' engraved with small diamonds surrounding it. "Our friendship rings." He pulled his out and it had 'Anari's Bestfriend' engraved in it.

"Darrell, I want you to know you are the bestest bestfriend I have ever had. I love you so much and I would hate to lose you. Thank you god for my good for nothing parents meeting your parents. I'm glad to have y'all in my life" I wrapped my arms around his neck and wrapped my legs around him.

"I love you too Nari" I smiled and hopped down

"I gotta go Shawn's waiting for me. Text me later." I said hopping down.

"Kay. I'll talk to Lexis." He said hugging me.

"Goooo, your making me feel short. I hate y'all tall niggas" I said getting in my car. He just laughed and went inside.

'What a great night!' I thought in my head driving home.
