Empathy has the biggest heart, always beating for others.

She is a lens; through her, you see love, frustration, joy, pain.

Others may come and go, but empathy never leaves anyone behind.

You can find her beaming smile on the best of days,

her sobs on your worst nights,

but empathy is always cheering you on.

Though her stomach may growl with hunger, the cries of others are louder.

Her throat may be dry as bone, but she feels the thirst of people around her.

Only she can see someone lost in the corner and feel his hurt.

Only she can see someone else succeed and feel pride instead of envy.

Only she can wait silently but still understand.

In a world where life is a race against everyone,

empathy sounds like the word on the tip of your tongue,

important but still forgotten.

The rags on her body show that she has given everything away,

but her heart is full.

Empathy smells of lavender,

soft, warm, comforting; she reminds you of home.

Her cherry lips might sugarcoat reality,

but in the moment, it might be for the best.

Her job seems unfulfilling, unnatural; yet it satisfies like no other.

Empathy will give you a beautiful heart, but it's always beating for others.
