Chapter 9

Athena P.O.V

I kept questioning myself about everything that happened so far when I heard him. The door slammed open as I felt him getting closer, he quickly took my wrist, forcing stand up and hugged me tightly

" oh my god, are you ok?" He asked sounding really worried

" I am fine," I said as I backed away from his embrace

" What is wrong? Did they hurt you?" He asked once more searching for any injury

" wait... did-did they slap you?" He asked angrily as he touched my cheek softly making me hiss in pain,

" I am fine, can you take me home, please?" I requested, he looked at me unsurely but nodded

" of course, come" he took my hand in his as he led the way out of this place. The more I walked the more I saw men in black searching every room of this place, making me think all over again

So my kidnapper wasn't lying? I don't even know how I suppose to feel about this.

Once we got out, the outside was already dark, he opened the backseat door of one of many cars there and I got inside with a sigh, he then closed the door and got inside from the other side and the driver started to drive

The car ride was silent not the comfortable one. He was sitting there I could feel his gaze on me, but I was only looking outside the window.

After some time of silence, I finally decided to talk

" the man who kidnapped me told me about your business," I said still not looking at him and he didn't reply, but I swear I could feel the car got chill all of the sudden

" is that why you didn't tell me about your business? You didn't want me to know that my boyfriend is someone killing others? And for what? I don't know" I said, each of those bitter words was coming from my aching heart

Still no answer

" but it is fine, I can understand, why would you tell me in the first place? We have known each other only for about what? two months now" I wiped my silent tears that were running down my cheek, I felt betrayed. Taking a deep breath so hopefully, the tears will stop and thanks to god, I got them under control

I could see the familiar area meaning we are getting closer to my house

" Why aren't you saying anything?" I asked this time looking at him, he was emotionlessly just staring at me like he was in a deep thought

" what do you want me to say?" He asked and I looked at him in disbelief

How can he say that? I want him to tell me the truth including the reason why he was hiding it from me.

" Nothing, nothing at all," I said and I could see my house

" This will be far enough thank you, Mr. Robin could you please stop the car? " I asked the driver, he looked unsure

I mean sure he is not my driver why would he take my words?

" can you please tell him to stop here? I want to walk home" I looked at Leonardo who didn't say anything

" go back to my mansion," he told the driver and my eyes widened

" what? no! I want to go home!" I said as I tried to open the car door even though it was still driving, I didn't care

Well it is locked

" Leo!!" I shouted at him but he didn't say anything

" I said I want to go home!!" I said as I tried to open the door forcefully, hoping the lock will break or something
