⚠️ Slight smut, Yandere themes, fear of abandonment⚠️

Strays are shy, they said. Don't be offended if he doesn't open up to you, they said. Jimin isn't the touchy type. All these warnings you were given, and Jimin had managed to prove every single one of them wrong.

You weren't sure what it was that brought out this unexpected side of him. When you'd first taken him from the adoption centre, he had been shy, too nervous to make eye contact.

He'd stayed like that for a total of two days. For those two days, Jimin hadn't left the room you'd prepared for him- apart from at dinner, but even then he'd take his food back to his room. You'd assumed he was shy, that he was still getting used to a new environment.

While you may not have much (any) experience, having suddenly moved from an adoption centre to an actual home must be a huge shock. Hybrids were known for their dislike of sudden changes, after all.

It was on the third day that Jimin finally left his room, his supposed shyness seemingly forgotten as he sauntered through your halls butt-naked. Obviously, this had come as a huge shock to you, who had been minding your own business eating breakfast. You'd screamed, dashing to cover your eyes with whatever you could find. You'd say frozen for only a few chilling moments before you'd felt soft fingers pull against the hands covering your eyes.

"Y/n." He'd spoken so softly, and yet, you still felt as if he was commanding you. "Why are you so shocked? You promised we'd go shopping, and we haven't yet. What am I supposed to wear if I don't have anything?"

Needless to say, you'd taken him shopping that very day. It had been a struggle to force him to put his old clothes back on, but with the promise of sushi, he'd perked up considerably. That was something you were going to have to remember.

On the fourth day, Jimin had once again greeted you during breakfast (this time he was clothed) with a soft smile on his face. You'd learnt that Jimin liked having cereal, though, he seemed to enjoy the milk more than the actual food; his cornflakes would usually be found drowning at the bottom of a sea of milk. It was at times like this that you were reminded of Jimin's cat-like qualities. The way he'd lick his bowl clean was particularly endearing.

After breakfast, Jimin had spent a few hours exploring your house. No corner, no matter how small, was left untouched by Jimin, be it his fingers or his nose. He seemed to have a particular interest in the smell of your couch, spending an entire hour pausing from his exploration in order to rub his face all over the cushions. This led to his discovery that the smell was stronger in your bedroom. That room had been where you were hiding out while Jimin looked around, not wanting to disturb him. But when he was literally scratching against the door, you couldn't exactly refuse him.

His search had, apparently, come to an end the second he was allowed into your room. There had been a vigorous half hour of sniffing and rubbing against corners and objects of interest in the room, which included the few clothes you were horrified to realise you'd left lying around. During this time, you had attempted to leave the room to give Jimin space to discover and settle in, but before your hand could reach the handle, you'd been pulled back.

Jimin had dragged you silently and prompted you to take a seat on the edge of your bed. Not wanting to do anything to upset him, you'd done as he wanted, pulling the phone you'd bought for him out to finish setting it up.

Just as you were about to inform him of your purchase, his eyes had snapped to the object instantly, staring at it with thinly veiled suspicion. He dropped a hoodie of yours back into the wardrobe and swooped over to inspect the item you held. By the time you noticed what he was doing, he was impossibly close. Though, Jimin seemed to start an inspection of everything with his nose, so this behaviour wasn't all that unusual. He hummed, brows furrowed. "Is that...a phone?"
