Poe's grief drove him through the walls of the base. He wasn't even sure where he was going until the pushed open the doors to the meeting room. He found it was already filled to the brim with chattering officers and scheming commanders, but he didn't care about any of them- not while Aria was in danger.

"General Leia-" Poe demanded the attention of his General.

Leia turned slowly towards Poe to see the clear distress in his deep, brown eyes. She stood from her chair to give him her full attention. "Commander," She nodded respectfully at him as he approached. Poe didn't have time for formalities, no matter how many important pairs of eyes were on him.

His eyes feverishly moved from his General in all her high-glory to the people that surrounded her. They were just as important as her, but he didn't want them to hear. He didn't want anyone to hear in case word somehow spread and it hurt Aria faster. Still, he knew there wasn't time to waste. So with all the eyes and ears in the room, he looked back at Leia. "Ariavanna Solo has been captured by the First Order." His new information stilled the room. All the chatter and scheming stopped as they all looked to Poe.

Leia's face paled as she stumbled back to her seat. Poe grabbed out for her to help her sit in her chair. He sat down next to her and continued to hold her arm as he felt it go clammy. "Are- are you sure?" There was a waver to her voice that none of the officers had heard before. Poe nodded. "Tell me what happened, immediately."

"Her X-wing was hit." Poe started right away with what he knew. He had to give her everything for her to help the best she could. He couldn't leave anything out, even if it painted Aria in a bad light. "-it damaged one of her engines and popped a hole in her fuel tank. She didn't have enough fuel to make it back to base so she-" Poe didn't want to reveal what she did. He didn't understand why she would willingly give herself over to the First Order. "She landed in the hangar of the Star Destroyer." Poe looked between Leia's eyes. Only they knew how detrimental the move was. Poe knew even more because he knew this whole mission was actually Aria's idea.

What if this was her plan all along? He didn't want to think about that. He didn't want to think that maybe Aria had some ulterior motive to get close to Kylo Ren. He didn't want to think that she was capable of something so diabolical.

A low murmur spread through the room at the startling revelation.

Poe clenched onto Leia for her to understand. "I have it on good authority that Kylo Ren is aboard the same Star Destroyer. With your permission I will set up a rescue op immediately. We will infiltrate the Star Destroyer, retrieve our own, and bring her back... safe." He gave Leia his word.

General Leia let her gaze fade away as she thought of Ariavanna being on the same ship as Kylo Ren. All the possibilities, all the destruction that would surely follow. "Kylo Ren will not harm Ariavanna." Leia's voice held the same determination of a General. It stilled the room more than Poe's startling news. Every last person in the room held on to their breath as they watched the General.

"How... are you sure?" Poe's thick brows furrowed together, creating two wrinkles between them.

Leia met Poe's eyes again with a fierce certainty. "I am.... but we still need to get her back."

Aria let out a low, irritated groan as yet another First Order Storm Trooper opened the door to her cell. As her room became flooded with light, she realized that sleep was impossible- they were there to make sure of it.

"How does it feel to follow a leader out of fear?" Aria sneered at the two soldiers as they walked a circle around her room. After they did their sweep, they left without so much as a single glance her way. When the door closed behind them Aria let her head fall against the head rest. Her dry eyes ached for relief, but even with a blink they weren't quenched. They wanted sleep, begged for it, but Aria knew better.
