Finn gathered all the supplies he needed to escape. He knew a sinking ship when he saw one, and the second Leia fell unconscious, the ship started to fill with water. He didn't want to be on it when it submerged. He couldn't, he had to get to Rey.

He went to the escape pods next. They were empty, which was perfect for his escape. He felt slightly bad for not saying goodbye to Poe or Aria. They stuck their necks out for him and he was fleeing. But that's what he did best, isn't it? He flees.

"What are you doing here?"

Finn froze as he shoved his bag in the escape pod. He slowly turned around to see a small Asian girl walk out from the maintenance room. She had short bangs- shorter than Aria's- with short dark hair that curled up at the ends before it touched her shoulders. She wore a tan jumpsuit that differed from Aria and Poe's orange one. The girls was far dirtier too, smeared with oil and other liquids Finn didn't want to know.

But the thing that stunned Finn the most was the girl's red cheeks and tear-filled eyes. She was crying.

"Hey, hi. Uh, I was..." Finn looked from the escape pod back to the stranger in front of him. "Uh, you know-" He suddenly stepped in front of the door of the escape pod to block his bag from her view.

"You are Finn! The Finn!" Her eyes widened as the recognized the man the entire Resistance was talking about. He was a legend among them.

"The Finn?" Wrinkles dug into his forehead as he tried to process what the strange girl just told him.

She seemed to realize how she came off as she shook her head. But not even that realization could stun her excitement at being in the same hallway as The Finn. "Sorry... I work behind pipes all day. Doing talking with the Resistance heroes is not my forte." She blinked as she processed what she just said. "Doing... Doing talking, yeah..." She blinked several times before she looked back up at Finn. "I'm Rose."

"Breathe." Finn told her calmly.

Rose took in a breath and released it just as quickly. "Okay."

"Yeah, look I'm not a Resistance hero, but... It was nice talking to you, Rose." Finn paused as he waited for her to leave, but she didn't. "May the Force be with you." He added, thinking that was their call sign before they left.

But Rose still didn't leave. She seemed even more mesmerized than before. "Wow. You too." She licked her lips as she tried to think like a normal, rational adult rather than a girl squealing that she was meeting a Resistance hero. "Good. But you are a hero." She practically ran up to Finn. When she reached him, she stopped and looked all over his face. "You left the First Order-what you did on the Starkiller Base. When we heard about it, my sister Paige said 'Rose, that's a real hero.' 'Know right from wrong.... 'and don't run away from when it gets hard,' she said." Rose pulled a small double pronged taser from her belt of tools and held it up. With a simple button a bright blue surge of electricity sprang between the two prongs. Finn's eyes lit up with blue as she waved it around in front of him. "You know... Just this morning, I had to stun three people who were trying to jump ship. In this escape pod." She used the taser to point to the pod behind Finn.

"What?" Finn feigned surprise and disgust.

"They were running away." She told him like just the thought of abandoning ship was worth a full body shock- and more.

"That's disgraceful." Finn shook his head as if he wasn't about to do that exact same thing.

"I know!" Rose killed the taser and put it back in her belt with ease that only came from years of training. Her eyes lowered to the bottom of the escape pod, where Finn's bag was.
