Eunsang tried not to press on Junho's back, he held on him loosely which Junho was well aware of. He was afraid Junho would notice his heartbeats. His back felt warm and familiar but uncomfortable at the same time. He just wished this would get over soon and they would reach the rest house.
Junho felt the same. His heart wasn't any better. The whole time, from before Eunsang wrapped his hands around him, it just kept getting faster by the second. Their first touch in years and it drove him insane on the inside. This whole scene had happened before and he couldn't help but reminiscence to the time they went to hike for summer camp for college. That time, Eunsang got hurt , coincidentally like how he did today. So they both stayed back.
It was the same, he carried him back to their tent. The thing only different was that, that time, they were still together. Nothing awkward, nothing uncomfortable. It was just them having fun inside the tent when the others were away.
"Why do you always get hurt?" Junho asked him softly, not expecting him to answer anything. It was just getting awkward without any conversation.
"I don't 'always' get hurt." Eunsang answered after a long moment, thinking about how he worded it.
Junho sighed, "It happened too back in college."
So, we're talking now...
"It's not my fault that twigs always get in the way of my feet." The younger murmured.
Junho paused for a while before asking, "Does it hurt bad?"
"You wouldn't be carrying me if it didn't."
Junho bite his lips at Eunsang's words. He was right, but it kind of hurt knowing Eunsang wouldn't have agreed for him to carry him if he wasn't in pain.
"We'll reach soon, hold on a little longer."
Eunsang didn't repond back. They reached the guest house pretty soon and Junho carried him inside Eunsang's room. It was pretty much the same with his room, but with a window facing the mountain at the back. He laid him down slowly on the mattress.
"Thank you."
"Stay here. I'll go and get warm water."
"You don't need to-" Eunsang started but Junho already went away. He sighed and pulled up his pant, folding it around the edge right above his knees. He flinched when he saw that his skin was badly scrapped off when he peel away the band-aid Jiyeon had put on earlier. He cursed internally for getting himself hurt over some twig on the ground. He laid back down, wanting to take some rest from the pain.
Junho came back after a few minutes with a towel and a bowl along with a med-kit. He tried to sit up back again.
"Lay back down."
"No, it's okay." He said, sitting uncomfortably still as Junho took a seat on his side. Junho glanced at his face once before soaking the cloth in the water before cleaning off the dried blood on his skin.
"How did you get this hurt over a twig?" Junho asked in disbelief looking at the many scratches and scrapes.
"There were some tiny metals on the ground, kind of fell on those as I slipped." He answered looking at Junho who was focused on disinfecting the injured skin.
"You should know how to take care of yourself." Junho said, a bit frustrated at Eunsang's clumsiness and how he had to restrain himself from getting worried too much.
Eunsang frowned and quickly pushed his hand away catching him offguard, "I can take care of myself pretty well. I didn't tell you to do this."
Junho was going to snap back at him but braced himself from doing it. Releasing a sigh, he said, "I didn't mean it like that. Sorry."
