not how i wanted this to go

Mew stood there frozen. Gulf brought his hand up about to open the box.
Mews eyes widen then He stepped forward to take the box from him.
He stepped back breathing heavily. Gulfs eyes narrowed then he got up quick to place his hands on the box.
They glared at each other.
"Mew....is this what i think it is?"
His eyes darted, mew gulped.
"Uuum." He stuttered.
"I forgot to um leave it at home."
Gulfs eyes widen.
"How long have you've had this?"
Mew took a breathe in.
"Awhile."
Gulf took his hands away.
Nodding he turned around and left.
"Shit!"
Taking a deep breathe.
He followed to see that gulf had gone outside to sit on the beach looking at the waves.
Mew leaned his body to the door frame looking down at the box.
This was not how i was going to propose.
Breathing in he went to gulf to stand behind him looking at the waves.
"Gulf?"
He shook his head.
Gulf was sitting on the beach with his knees to his chest, head on top of them.
"You've had it for awhile....but haven't asked...guess I'm not good enough.."
His sentance hung.
Mew sat on the ground putting his legs to the side of gulf wrapping his arms around the boy looking forward with his head on his shoulder, one hand cluched the box.
"Gulf...it's not that. I planned to when you came home that one day but you told me you were leaving for 6 months. I didn't want your mind to be on this but on your job. I believe your going to be a magnificent publisher. Also....you will be in a foreign place. I don't want to hold you back if something or someone..."
Gulf shook his body.
"Mew. You need to knock that off. What do you think? ill go to America find someone else. Mew. I've told you time and again i love you. I only have eyes for you. I...do...not...want...anyone else."
Mew held him tighter.
"Even though I'm 28 almost 29. Gulf i am insecure. Why do you only have eyes for me?"
Gulf shuffled a bit.
He let his legs go straight and gulf brought up his arms to mews.
"At first it was because you saved me. Then because i couldn't find anyone else like you. Now after everything we've been through i can't see a future without you. I want only you. I love you. Your intelligent, sincere, sweet, caring, loving, hard working and also you have helped me become a better man. I hope i have done the same."
Mew took a breathe in.
Moving his hands forward he uncluched the box to open it right in front of gulf.
Gulfs eyes open wide.
Mew threw the box to the sand and he had the ring in both hands.
Taking one hand down he grabbed gulfs left hand.
Then he put the ring on his ring finger.
Gulf let the tears fall.
Mew and gulf looked to it admiring it.
"Gulf, i can't promise ill stop being insecure. I can't promise i wont make mistakes. What i can promise is that i love you and always have loved you. Since i first met you i have wanted no other. Even though i don't want too say his name. Tum taught me that i never knew what love was until i met you. Gulf if you stay by my side ill always continue to fight for us and do everything i can to make you happy. Gulf...Will you marry me?"
Gulfs chin quivered.
Turning quickly around he wrapped his arms around mews neck giving him a rough kiss making them both fall to the sand.
Mew pushed him off his eyes darted with a smile.
"Is that a yes?"
Gulf nodded up and down quickly.
"Yes, oh god mew yes!"
He leaned back down hugging mew tightly.
Mew hugged him back.
"This is not how i wanted to propose to you Gulf."
He laughed.
Gulf shakily chuckled.
"Before i go, you can again if you wish but.."
Then he lend up to then get off holding his hand out for mew.
Mew looked down then got up they stood in front of each other glaring in each other's eyes.
"Now I'm your fiance. I love you mew."
Mew smiled.
"I love you too my almost wivey."
Gulf smiled wide.
They then leaned to each other to give a passionate kiss.
