THE SKY was overcast with dark clouds as if someone took all the happiness out of it. the people hurrying to their homes had indicated that the weather was soon to be worsen. lynne sat on her couch and watched the sky darkening from her window. she wondered what made the sky so sad, and why did it seem like it was having an inner battle with itself.

the atmosphere outside lynne's apartment was cold, freezing cold. so she had to skip her work for the rest of the day. the girl didn't think twice when her boss told her to go home because she was planning to leave early too. she did notice that the sky wasn't that dark as it is now, and somehow felt scared because of it.

the house was silent when she entered, which was an extremely odd thing because normally she would be greeted by the sound of the tv show that her boyfriend loved to watch. or she would find him playing video games on computer or he would have his headphones on as he would relax on the couch she was sitting on right now.

after searching for a few minutes, she was sure that the boy wasn't in the house. the basement would be the last place he would want to go, because he somehow hated dark places. but lynne didn't miss checking there as well. she even tried calling him on his phone, but soon it would beep and take her to voicemails.

and she couldn't help but get worried over the boy who barely left the house unless he wanted to have some snacks. lynne really wished that it was the reason but the fridge was filled with his favorite foods. and there was no reason to go outside, in this weather.

she started to feel anxious when she realised that three hours passed, and there was no sign of jeongguk.

lynne ended up calling her coworkers, her friends, even her boss in hope that he maybe went there for her but no, he didn't.

so she decided, she should search by herself as she ran to her bedroom and grabbed a dark blue raincoat, which belonged to him. lynne remembered buying him this in their six month anniversary and she couldn't help but smile at the thought of how happy he looked that day.

it was their first year anniversary.

lynne took a deep breath before pushing her door open, immediately being greeted by the cold breeze. and she made a mental note to slap the shit out of jeongguk when she finds him.

the girl went to her office, which was already closed and it meant that there was no chance he could be around here. so she went to his favorite restaurant, where they were supposed to have a dinner to celebrate their first year, but he never came. with a frown on her face, she politely asked to cancel their reservation before running out of there.

as she had expected, it was already raining. the drops of water patting against her shoulder only brought bad thoughts, that she really wanted to go away.

she knew, he wouldn't do anything that'll make him worry.

she knew he was safe.

she knew he will be safe.

was he really safe right now?

lynne shook her head, mumbling a few curses as she decided to visit jeongguk's aunt's house, and probably the last place where she hoped to find him.

the train ride was filled with silence. there were barely people around her so it was comfortable to have a seat all by herself. the sound of the rain patting against the window was oddly satisfying as lynne listened to it, slowly closing her eyes shut. she was sure of the fact that she had a fever, but the girl really didn't care.

all she cared was a boy with strands of golden brown. the boy who had so much passion and hope filled in his dark brown eyes. for lynne, she saw the whole galaxy in them. she really admired how talented and passionate he was, and she always spoke of how she hated him for that. the boy would always smile, showing off his bunny like teeth whenever he saw lynne.
