Scarlett and Lando are back for their second season in Formula 1, except they're now on separate teams. And one of the returning drivers begins to have a thing for Scarlett. How will Lando react? Will Scarlett beat Max?
"Oh fucks sake," George looked up at the sound of Scarlett chucking her phone down, he left the kitchen and went to sit with her on the sofa
"What's wrong?" He asked and put his arm across her shoulders. Ollie barked and quickly jumped onto the sofa to curl into George's lap
"They cancelled Monaco," she ran a frustrated hand through her hair and he immediately understood why she was so upset
"Hey," He squeezed her arm gently and she looked at him "Does that really matter to you? As long as you get to spend it with him I know you're happy,"
"At this rate I won't even get to spend it with him," she rolled her eyes
"Scar," Alex came into the room "Lando's worried about you," he spotted her phone on the carpet and picked it up just as it started to ring "Answer," she sighed but couldn't argue with him. She left the room and headed upstairs to answer Lando's facetime
"Hi," she smiled sadly
"Hey," he said "I'm guessing you heard?"
"Yep," she groaned and collapsed onto her bed "I hate this,"
"Scarlett, I promise you that no matter what you and I are spending our anniversary in Monaco, Grand Prix or not I don't care," he said earnestly and she knew he meant it
"God I miss you," she said and he could see her eyes glistening
"And I miss you," he smiled "Soon enough I'll be home with you,"
"I can't wait," she frowned "Love, it's late go to sleep,"
"I want to be up with you," he argued "Hang on," he blew her a kiss and hung up quickly. He pulled out his laptop and searched up flights back to the UK, he booked one in 2 days and smiled to himself
"Lando," Carlos called over from their bed "What are you doing?"
"getting my flight home," he answered
"But we can't leave," Carlos pointed out
"I don't care," he shrugged "My girlfriend's home and I can't stand another fucking day this far from her, I need to go home," Carlos smiled at the 20-year-old and Lando raised an eyebrow "What?"
"You're whipped," he laughed and Lando grinned before calling Scarlett back, he smiled at the sight of her
"Hey love," he said
"Hi," she smiled down the camera and his heart melted "Ollie misses you too,"
"Not long now," he ran a hand through his hair "You're okay?"
"Yeah, by the way Ben's staying with us during this quarantine thing," she said and he nodded, Lando was glad her brother was there to look after her since he wasn't right now "Lando I swear to god go to bed, I can see your eyes shutting,"
"Fine," he groaned and climbed under hi duvet "Stay?"
"Always," she giggled "Sleep well love,"
"Thank you love," he finally closed his eyes and she watched him slowly fall asleep on the phone. She put it down as he slept and headed downstairs to the sofa where Ben was sitting
He noticed the upset look on her face and held out an arm, she smiled and curled into his side, his hand drew soothing circles on her arm and she smiled to herself
"I know you miss him," he lowered his voice
"I do," she muttered "But I'm glad you're here,"
"I wasn't going to leave you alone," he said firmly
"You know George and Alex also live here?" she teased "But thank you,"
"Anytime," he said and she knew he meant it "And I'm not leaving for a while,"
