A whole year has passed,
and it's been a year since
we last talked, too.

Why?

Yeri became jealous
of how close we were.
So we distanced ourselves.

Here I am,
attending a mini-reunion our classmates had set up.
It's like a New Year's Eve celebration party.

I looked around,
and see that everyone is happy in love.

Jennie unnie dated Taehyung oppa.
Chaeyoungie dated Jimin oppa.
Jisoo unnie dated Jin oppa.

And me? The youngest?
Well, I have none.

At times like this,
I was beginning to imagine

What if
I dated Bambam instead?

What if
I listened to Bambam
and agreed to be friends again
rather than choosing to become a fool for you?

What if
I said yes to Sehun?

What if
I didn't let myself become attached to you?

What if
I just helped you and Tzuyu get back together?

What if
I didn't let you visit my home?

What if
I didn't answer any of your calls
and texts from the beginning?

What if
I completely shut you out
on the first day of school?

What if
I just avoided you and didn't act so nice
ever since you started calling me Sparky?

What if
I didn't care of what you'd feel
when you smiled at me at that party?

Because when I smiled back,
that's when you approached me.
That's when it all started.

I wish I never smiled at you
at that party.

Chaeyoung spotted me
and quickly left Jimin oppa
to approach me.

"Lisa! I thought you wouldn't come!"
she told me, hugging me real tight.
"You've been so caught up on preparing
for your entrance exam in that
University you've always been dreaming of."

I shrugged, smiling at her.
"Here I am now.
I wouldn't want to miss
a chance to attend a party
that you hosted."

Chaeyoung pouted
when someone called her.
I giggled, signalling her to go.
"We'll catch up later," I smiled.

She nodded, bidding me goodbye.

I looked around once again,
and I saw you.

You and I
were on the opposite sides
of the room.

But somehow,
our eyes locked.

You smiled at me.

This happened before.
No, Lisa.
Don't make the wrong move again.

Instead of smiling back,
I turned around, and helped myself
for a drink.

"You didn't drink wine before,"
a hoarse voice caught me off-guard.

At first, I was nervous
that it might be you.
But once I turned my head,
I was relieved that it wasn't.

"That was before, Sehun," I shrugged.
"Things are different now."

"Maybe you're different now," he told me.

My head snapped at him in an instant.
A gave a satisfied smirk, "Maybe I am."

"Cheers," he offered his wine glass.

I clinked my glass
with Sehun's and softly smiled,
"Cheers."
