Chapter 13

~~~~[y/n] POV~~~~

I stand there, Midnight yelled start and I see Hitoshi talking to Izuku, it seems like he's insulting him 'trying to get him angry enough for him to talk... smart' shortly after Izuku response to his insults getting him brainwashed

I hear Hitoshi saying that he was lucky and blessed to have a heroic quirk, I felt sad for him, it seems that he hates his quirk, but I believe his quirk is good, he should be proud that he has a quirk like that

I hear Hitoshi order him to turn around and walk out of bound, Izuku obeys and starts to slowly walk towards the edge of the ring, but as soon as he was about to step out of the ring a big gust of wind shot out of his finger

I look closely and noticed Izuku used One for All to break out of the trans, I noticed Hitoshi was visibly confused as to how he got out of his brainwashing

Hitoshi tried to get him to talk, but Izuku refuses to speak, I can hear Hitoshi yell about him having such a heroic quirk and that he's jealous of him

Every word that comes out of Hitoshi mouth hits me, my eyes quickly shot up when I saw Izuku charge at him, they continued to throw punches at each other, Hitoshi hits Izuku in the face making him bleed from his nose, Izuku keeps pushing Hitoshi, Hitoshi punches Izuku's broken finger and Izuku counter attacks with a shoulder toss that slams Hitoshi out of bound

Midnight declare Izuku's win, I stood there for a minute trying to process what I saw, I took a breath in and walk away making my way to Hitoshi's class

I see him about to enter with his other classmates "Hitoshi!" I quickly walk up to him

"[h/n]-" I gave him hug

"I'm proud" I feel him hug back "you did great out there, by trying to get him to talk you said something he couldn't hold back, and that was smart!"

"Y-you really think so, people said my quirk is more for a villain, honestly I thought once you saw me go in action with my quirk you'll leave me, just because how villainous it is"

"Who said your quirk is villainous"

"In my middle school I said I wanted to be a hero, but the kids in my class would say that my quirk is more suited to be a villain, I gave up and just agreed with them, but I wanted to be hero, I wanted to prove them wrong, but sometimes I doubt myself" I put my hand in his shoulders and gave him a soft smile

"Hitoshi those people who called you a villain are just looking at the quirk, there first initial reaction to a brainwashing quirk is 'villain' but there not looking at the person who's holding that quirk, don't listen to those people, okay, I believe you can be a hero"

He looks at me and I see tears flow out of his eyes, he gives me hug burying his face in the crook of my neck "thank you" I smiled and rubbed his back "y-you have no idea how much that meant to me, so thank you"

'He's the one'

"Hitoshi I want to give you something, and I want you to keep it a secret, no matter what, it's important that you tell no one, alright" he nodded his head "meet me after school, when everyone is gone, I'll explain the rest from there" I waved goodbye and left, I sat with Toshi on the roof of the school "I chose who's my next successor is gonna be"

"So you did, who"

"Saw the kid who was fighting Izuku"

"Him, what's his name"

"Hitoshi, I think he'll do great"

"I'm glad you found someone.... you know Izuku saw us, when he was brainwashed by Hitoshi, he said he saw ghosts like people, and that two stuck out, he said it looked like us"

"Is that so, guess it's good, means we are about to finish"

"[y/n] why do you lie to yourself"

"What do you mean"

"You could've easily beat me all those years, so why didn't you"

"Speak up [y/n], tell me why"
