We haven't talked in a while
but we didn't end anything
we're on good terms
and i feel confident in that
I say this because i'm so goddamn tired
of the need for labels
when each person is busy
with their own lives and
figuring out themselves
a label complicates
chance and opportunities
at more than friends
And you turn a feeling
into a standard needing to be met.
