Naomi's P.O.V:

I waited by Mena's hospital bed. He slept for the most part of the procedure.

I held his hand for a while.
Until Luke, Lena and Lola showed up to the door.

" Knock knock"

I was surprised to see them so early.

" W-What are you guys doing here "

" Miss Naomi we just wanted to come by and check on you and Mister Mena " Luke said walking over hugging

" Luke you don't have to call this Miss and Mister just call me Naomi " he nodded

" Yeah, um still I'm so sorry this happened " Lola said

" No, this was the wrong doing at that man and I will not rest until he's caught and put behind bars for what he has done "

Lola hugged me

" Lola, you and luke should get going, I don't want you to miss your bus "

" Okay " they all hugged and the younger two left for school

" S-Shouldn't you be getting ready for school to " I stuttered

"I have a free period, besides I feel responsible for this whole mess "

" That's because you are "

"What are you talkin about"

" Mena and I wouldn't have even been there if it wasn't for you if you hadn't have shown up we'd be happy without you not sitting here as he's laying on this bed "

" I'm sorry you feel that way, I think I'm going to go "

" That's a good idea " I sighed and disappointment

20 minutes later

I couldn't help myself I just need you to cry some more, in the books that read it helps release the pain.

" Naomi " a faint voice whispered

" Oh, mena, are you okay "

" To be honest no I'm not " he looked around the room confused

" Where are the kids, where's Lena " he asked

" We got into a small fight earlier today"

" What happened " he questioned

" I told her the truth, she's the reason why we're here right now she's the reason why you got shot "

" Naomi, she is most definitely not the reason. I got shot because I love you guys because I didn't want anything to happen to her or you I don't know what I would have done if he shot you guys " he explained

" You need to make things right with her before- " he paused

" Before what " I asked

" Just make things right with her, now " he demanded softly

" Okay I promise I will " I stood to my feet ready to walk out the door

" Naomi before you go, come to me " I walked over to him knowing exactly what you wanted I leaned down kissing him softly multiple times in the lips

I left him after that driving back to my house where I expect Lena would still be.

" Lena can we talk "

" I'm not sure I have anything to say to you " she folded her arms

" then you can listen, what I said earlier today Mena being shot wasn't your fault I'm sorry I said that "

" It's okay I forgive you I know you were just upset "

My phone began to buzz in my purse, I looked at the caller ID it was the hospital. My heart jumped into my throat scared out of my mind what they might say. I answered it.

" Hello this is Janet, may I speak with Naomi Scott "

" This is she " I replied

" I'm calling in regards to Mena massoud, a few minutes after you left Mena passed away, due to heart failure, he asked that we not try and to save him "

There was no words left.

" Ma'am, hello ma'am are you still there, " I heard the lady on the phone.
It was like a piece of me died. The phone slipped from my hand down to the ground as I have followed closely behind falling to my knees I cried sobbing. The tears burning my cheeks as they fall.

It was clear what my phone call was about to Lena, she tried to comfort me but it was no use no one could comfort the amount of pain I was feeling.
