Jungkook smiled as he slowly woke up and could feel the soft rays of the sun on his chest, keeping him warm. He kept his eyes closed as he took in the tranquil feeling of waking up in the morning so wonderfully. He stretched his arms out to the side and pouted at the feeling of cold sheets. The fairy hesitantly opened his eyes and huffed as he took in the empty room.

I didn't even get morning kisses...

Jungkook chastised himself at the petulant thought but he couldn't help but feel slightly down. It had been five years since the princes had returned from their eight-year-long journey and many things have changed.

Their first two years back, they courted Jungkook and proved to him that they were truly in love with him. It was hard for Jungkook as he had never trusted this part of himself with another person, so sharing it with six princes was a lot for him to take in. However, he was swept off his feet and decided that he wasn't about to ruin this because he was scared.

The instant he agreed to become their partner, things moved fast. They asked him to move into the castle as it made them anxious for him to be so far from them during the night. Jungkook agreed after much thinking since he loved the home he made for himself. He only asked that the room they were in had large windows as he loved to look outside. His request was met immediately and for the last three years, they have been living together.

At first, they spent almost every waking moment together, but soon the boys were introduced to the reality that they had to choose what type of role they would have in the kingdom. Hyuna and Dawn had been worried that there would be a fight for who would be king, but surprisingly that didn't occur.

Jin and Taehyung had plainly stated that they had no interest in being kings or having a role in the castle. Instead, Jin wanted to open an orphanage that took care of children of any species. The handsome vampire had always felt extremely thankful for being taken in by Hyuna and Dawn but it had been a stroke of luck. So many other children had been sold to horrible people who would abuse them for the rest of their lives. Jin wanted to stop this and decided that having an orphanage would be a good place to start.

Taehyung also felt the same way but instead of taking care of creatures, he wanted to take care of animals. Many animals, especially rare animals, were abused and hunted to be sold in the black market. He wanted to take care of these animals and give them a sanctuary.

Jimin also expressed his desire to not be king, but he still wanted to have a role in the castle. During their journey, Jimin had recounted to Jungkook how they had gone through sword training and martial arts training that differed from anything he had experienced. He loved fighting and Jungkook would sometimes sneak into the practice room to watch Jimin fight. The smaller vampire was extremely agile and moved so smoothly that it made Jungkook drool. It was unsurprising for Jungkook when Jimin decided to join the kingdom's army and rose the ranks to become the main general.

After Jimin, Taehyung and Jin expressed their wants, the three other princes stayed quiet. Jungkook remembered seeing how nervous they were, scared that whatever they said would start a fight. A few minutes passed when Hoseok admitted that he wanted to be king. Ever since he was young, he used to follow Hyuna and Dawn around to see what they would do. His interest in the kingdom and in wanting to improve it made him yearn for the throne.

Thankfully, Namjoon and Yoongi had no problems with this. The two of them had been interested in the position but they admitted that the responsibility of the title did make them extremely nervous. Instead, the two wise princes decided to become Hoseok's advisors. Their duties consisted of strategizing and taking care of business that the king didn't have time to accomplish. The arrangement worked perfectly and Namjoon, Yoongi and Hoseok were a great team.
