❚ main plot. in the kingdom of elyria, a cruel king rules with an iron fist. for decades, magic has been outlawed—a selfish and useless ploy invented by the king to "avenge" his dead sister and, as a bonus, to eliminate magical threats. in retaliation, seven magical people infiltrate the palace and plot a coup to kill the king and right society. unbeknownst to them, the king isn't who he claims to be nor is the queen who she says she is; the foreign royals, too, are creating their own separate plots. in theory, killing the king isn't a difficult task, and perhaps it'll be easy, but taking his dominion and changing society? well, that'll be much more difficult—provided they can even succeed in eliminating the king.
