                                            Chapter 46.

At the end of the day, everybody was rushing to leave.

The halls were so crowded, but thankfully I found my way to our locker before the chaos REALLY hit.

Kayleigh had the locker open, and she was grabbing her bag from it, and wrapped her plaid scarf around her neck. "Hey there," she smiled when I came.

"Hey." I stuffed my books and stuff inside, and took out my coat. "How are you?"

"Great," she smiled, bending down to put her stuff in her bag. "This lunch was kinda funny."

"Awkward," I corrected. "It was awkward."

She shrugged. "Obviously for you....speaking of which, I'm kinda jealous."

I raised an eyebrow. "Say what? Why?"

"I don't like Taylor," she said, serious. "Believe me..."

I do.

"I mean, it's like, before he was SUCH an ass....then out of nowhere, you come along...and you...tame him. I wish I could of done that in the fourth grade."

I smiled, and shrugged. "I'm pretty good with him."

"He's pretty good with YOU...he must really, really like you, Chris."

I blushed. "He tells me that."

"And, have you ever thought that maybe he truly, truly means it?"

Hmmmm....That thought made me get massive butterflies in my stomach.

Kayleigh patted my shoulder, smiled, then slung her backpack over her shoulder. "See ya around."

I waved, and she walked down the hall, meeting up with some other random girl I didn't know.

I sighed, slung my bag around my shoulder, and zipped up my jacket.

Then, something black covered my eyes.

"Guess who?" A girly man voice said, in a high-pitched voice.

Uh....

....

...

...

"Taylor?" I asked.

"No," he said.

"Alex?"

"No."

"....Tiffany?"

"No, how do you not know your own brother's voice?"

I smiled. Daman.

"Well, when he's talking like an elf on crack, it's hard to tell," I smirked.

Daman let go of me, and I turned around to see a happy brother of mine.

"What's with YOU?" I asked.

He shrugged. "Angie's coming over...is that okay?"

I nodded in a -DUH- way. "Of course!"
