The day was hot and Sid was helping the moving agency to put his stuff in a small office Dante just rent for him through his connection. The place was relatively cheap and it was a bit small, but business gotta start somewhere, right?

Dante doesn't mention anything about this particular town. All Sid see is quite and peaceful town with 0 chance of irregularities. But a job is a job and Sid has to do it because he owes Dante for saving his bumper back at Fortuna incident.

Its been around 4 years ever since, 2 years live in a prison lab and another 2 years in a hellish devil hunter training. Sid has come a long way. After that training and recovery, Dante gave his old Family name thus becoming Sid Redgrave.

There are reasons why Dante choose Sid to be his successor, but he never mention it clearly in front of Sid, all he said is that to keep the family business. While Dante's brother, Vergil already has a son Nero. Dante secretly thinking about having a successor as well since he's getting too old for this. But the Legendary Devil Hunter want to retain the title single and still want to fool around. Thus came into conclusion of raising a student rather than offsprings.

In the span of 2 years Sid has learned the basics and fundamentals of Dante fighting styles . Starting from Trickster, a style that functions for exclusively "High Speed" maneuvers, giving Sid an edge in the battle for speed with various movements. But from all the moves that Dante ever taught him he could only master a few of them like:

Dash: A quick dash that allows him to deftly evade enemy attacks

Mustang: Dash toward an enemy by dashing and kick off them to launch himself upward

Air Trick: Dash above an enemy's head and appear in mid-air

And then Swordmaster style, It emphasizes expansion of Devil Arms' abilities and maximization of their elemental power. It depends on what Weapon or devil Arms Sid wields at a time so the technique can vary in different times.

After swordmaster style comes the hardest styles of all, The Royalguard, this style took a year in his training to master but it all pays off quite splendidly. The Royalguard Style is one of the most difficult styles to master but potentially one of the strongest. It emphasizes minimization and countering of enemy attacks. Though it is time-consuming to fill up the meter, Release and Just Release are two of the most damaging moves. These moves are powerful enough to kill almost all kinds of lesser demons, critically injure some of the larger demons, and inflict major damage to greater demon. Sid can block lesser demons without breaking his 'blocking' stance. But larger demons with stronger attacks can break his normal guard. This can be dangerous because of long recovery times which leave Sid open for attack. Though the move's names had been change over the years but the moves it self doesn't change very much from what Dante teaches him. The moveset are:

Block: Blocks enemy attacks and neutralizes damage while also filling the Rage Meter

Royal Block: Negate the damage of the attack and charges the Rage Meter more than usual

Release: Release pent-up anger charged from blocked enemy attacks to do major damage

Royal Release: Draw in an enemy attack before releasing the energy built up in the Rage meter to deliver a tremendous blast of damage

Last one is Sid most proficient at, The Gunslinger Style. It emphasizes mastery of different guns and maximization of their technique. Gunslinger can be seen as a counterpart to the Swordmaster Style, specializing in firearms exclusively, giving a more dynamic use of them (covering a large area, shooting multiple enemies at once, adding a powered-up version on normal moves, e.t.c). Just like Swordmaster style, It depends on what Weapon or devil Arms Sid wields at a time so the technique can vary in different times. But Sid mostly proficient at using Dual pistols like ebony and ivory and short barrel shotguns.
