Strange is the way that I miss you
And dark is the distance between
Our hearts and our longings are stronger
Than all the troubles that we've seen
The night and our dreams bring us together
When the world tries to keep us apart
But our love and our longing are stronger
Because we're bound together at the heart
The stars and the night are our ally
Bring us together hand in hand
Though our bodies are parted by distance
Of far off and unfriendly lands
Your name on my lips brings you to me
And walk in the beauty of love
Where time and miles cannot part us
And the angels smile down from above
Together we rule where there are no people
In a land where poets have reigned
And the lovers of all other centuries
Will bow down to what we have tamed
