After quite a long while, I know how to speak the boy, Nicoli's, language.
He ran away from his herd, too.
I try to explain myself the best I can to him, but that language barrier! What a pain!
He gave me one of his coverings. I tried to refuse it, but he says that if I don't wear it, he won't get me back to normal.
We walk while we try to speak.
I try to explain that he shot me and now I've become this.
He tries to explain he wanted to shoot the deer but hit me instead.
Uh! Humans with their excuses!
It starts to get dark.
"I'm not going back to my cave this late. And I don't even know where it is!" Nicoli whines.
"Stop you whinnying!" I say, putting my hands to my ears.
"We sleep ere," I say, pointing to the ground.
"The ground! Are you crazy?" he whines again.
"No! Sleep up!" I argue, pointing upward.
"Oh, I'm stupid. Horses sleep standing," Nicoli nods.
"Sleep! No talk!" I scream, aggravated by his talking.
"Fine!" he says, raising his arms and laying down.
I swish my tail in his face.
"That for talk and shoot me," I sass.
"Zelos! Sleep!" he yells at me.
I huff, close my eyes, and slowly fall asleep.
