"What the heck?!" Steven yelled as he stared at the poofed gem in front of him on the grass.
He dropped the weapon, which turned into a small stick as it hit the ground. Now that it seemed harmless, Steven hesitantly picked it back up and put it in his pocket.
He stood up from his kneeling position on the grass.
"Who are you?! Who was she?!"
"(G/N)..." Spinel said to herself out of shock.
"Who?"
"Look Steven, I have an idea."
Steven gripped the smaller weapon in his pocket just in case.
"What would that be..?"
Spinel took in a breath, "That gem is my friend. (G/N). She probably wanted to help me, that's why she came to Earth and got hit by the rejuvenator instead of me."
"What's a rejuv-"
"No questions 'til I'm finished! Being the type of person she is, (G/N) would have wanted to help me since I'm like this because of your stupid mother; Pink." She said sourly while gesturing to her new, darker form.
"Don't call her-"
Spinel cut him off again, her voice full of anger. "I'M NOT FINISHED, UNIVERSE!"
Steven shut up and Spinel continued.
"A rejuvenator was something used on Homeworld years ago. It sets a gem all the way back to when they were made, basically erasing all of their memories and progress with their powers or whatever. When our friends come back, they won't remember who we are, so I call a truce until we get 'em all back to normal. Deal?"
Steven stayed silent, he was unsure of her offer. What if it was a trick? Then again, she did explain what just happened to his friends. His family. If he could get them back to normal before Spinel got her friend back, maybe he could come up with a plan against her.
"Deal," he agreed, holding out his hand. "But you have to promise that you won't hurt me or my friends. Shake on it?"
Spinel stared sat his hand in front of her.
And she ignored him.
"Nah. Once I get (G/N) back, I'm goin' right back to killin' you and this disgusting planet."
"I'd rather you not do that..."
Spinel was already off, not listening. She was on her way to Steven's small beach house with a small gem in her hand.
"Don't worry, (G/N). I'll get ya back to normal."
