The room was filled with light as a bright glow appeared from the (Gem Colour) gemstone on the table.

All seven beings in the room watched as it formed, revealing a tall (G/N) when it faded.

"(G/N)?" A dark pink, pigtail wearing gem gasped and slowly approached her friend. Her eyes opened.
"Hello, you are correct! I am a (G/N), and I am prepared to sculpt and create anything to your liking."
"Wha.. No, (G/N), it's me! Spinel! Your friend..?"
"You don't look like a typical Spinel. However, you still look wonderful and your cut seems perfect! What can I do for you?"
Spinel blushed a bit with widened eyes, but quickly shook it off and backed away from (G/N).

"This isn't right," she began, "she's not my (G/N)!" Spinel distressed.
"What's going on? What's wrong with her?" Steven asked, hoping it would give him clues to helping his own friends, who were now reformed, but different, and moving around the house. Spinel quickly spun around towards him.
"Nothing, Universe! It's none of your business," she growled.
They both tensed up.
Steven was ready to fight again, even if he really didn't want to. But he saw Spinel's face.
She was upset, even looking like she was going to cry... Spinel slumped over to the floor, almost deflating like a balloon.
"Her memories.. they're gone."

"What?"

"Didn't you hear me?!" She snapped, angering Steven again.
"That rejuvenator, remember?"

Spinel sighed and turned to (G/N).
In a daydream like state, the amnesiac gem stared at everything around the house, taking it in slowly. It was all so new to her. Slowly she turned to meet Spinel's gaze, making the other turn an even lighter shade of pink.
Trying to make this mysterious feeling disappear, the old jester strolled over to new.. well, old, best friend.

"(G/N), do you remember me..?"
"Should I? I know that you are a Spinel with a perfect cut! And an odd yet unique appearance," Her little sidenote made Spinel's cheeks flush pink again.
"But I have no other knowledge."

Spinel's face turned from embarrassment to shock.
She thought it was a puzzle; that trying to remind her of her friends and would jog her memory. But would it work? What would happen if it didn't? Suddenly she came to a realisation.
Reluctantly, Spinel turned to her human enemy.
"I wish I didn't have to say it, but... I need your help. And I'm sure you need mine, so let's remember that truce and agree to work together until I get (G/N) back."
"And my friends," he added. "Only if you guarantee that you'll help me get my friends back, too."

Spinel sighed, unenthusiastically shaking his hand.

"Sure."

After telling Steven her theory, Spinel followed him to a place on the other side of Beach City known as "Little Homeworld". She thought it sounded silly but Steven said he had friends there who could help, and Spinel followed with (G/N) being her only motivation.
The two were followed by Ruby and Sapphire, two gems who were usually in the form of their fusion Garnet.

Bismuth confirmed the weapon as an official Homeworld rejuvenator, and Spinel was made to stand in a corner away from everyone (courtesy of Peridot). (G/N) had been keeping her company, though.
"They seem nice," she said, looking over at the other group. Spinel only grumbled out of jealousy.
She looked over at the other gems, who were occupied with coming up with a plan.
"Hey," she whispered, "wanna get out of here?"
"And go where?" (G/N) replied loudly, and Spinel interrupted by shushing her.
"Stay quiet and follow me, o Wana show you something."

The two wandered aimlessly around the city, not having any particular place in mind.
"What was it you wanted to show me?" The curious sculptor asked.
Spinel panicked a bit, she wanted to impress (G/N) but couldn't find anything worthy on this inferior planet. Nothing would compare to-

"What's that?"

Spinel snapped out of her thoughts to see what was being pointed at.

Oh.
That.

"That's uh.. my injector."
"What's it for? Everything around here looks so.. not lively compared to everything else."
She felt guilty after her friend said that. She wanted to hurt the Earth, to destroy its life. But something made her feel bad about it when she saw (G/N)'s face, Spinel was hurt knowing that her friend was.
"It's a long story."
"Oh.."

.
.
.

"Hey, I have an idea. Maybe it'll cheer you up a bit? You know, since you seem to like the nature of this place." Spinel said questioningly. G/N hesitated before agreeing, and Spinel took her hand.
"Going up!" She said before stretching the way up to the top of her machine, past the tallest building in Beach City, the lighthouse.

"You can open your eyes now," Spinel reassured (G/N), who had closed her eyes when they practically flew up to the injector.

The view was something that (G/N) had only heard of.

In reality, the city was a small place where everyone knew each other. But to (G/N), it was an unfamiliar yet beautiful place that was almost glowing. She admired the flowers and plants dotted around the city, the lights and the sounds we're all so intriguing. She loved the view of the city, and the sea was sparkling like, well, diamonds.
The alluring sights had distracted her from the same beautiful life that was being destroyed beneath her.

"This is what Earth is like?"
Spinel stayed silent, she didn't know what to think.
"I'd heard about it from other gems, and I've only seen a few photos... But it's so much prettier in real life."
Spinel thought about (G/N)'s admiration.
"Wait, you heard from other gems? And you've seen pictures of it? So.. you remember?"
Could this be it?
(G/N) thought for a moment, and as she started to remember, a bright glow surrounded her.

Previous events repeated (for the better, Spinel hoped) as the light faded, revealing (G/N) in the form she had been in when she met Spinel and first came to Earth.

"(G/N)? Do you.. remember what happened?"

She stared at the pink gem, trying to recall recent events.

"That last thing I remember was being in the garden with you. Why do you look like that? Where are we?"

She couldn't remember past their happy times together. The puzzle wasn't complete.

"That.. doesn't matter." Spinel was trying to process what was going on. Why did she get certain memories back? What was working? What wasn't? She thought her best friend would go back to normal.
She looked back up to see (G/N) staring at the ground below.

"What happened here..? I thought Earth was supposed to be a garden fill of life, but everything around here is dying."

This would be a lot to explain...
