Chapter 10

Maya, Riley and Lucas were on the subway on their way to Riley's home.
Riley and Lucas sat aside and Maya saw as Riley tried to sleep.
She exhaled as she gave Lucas a look showing him that Riley was going to take a nap.

"Leave her. The baby is giving her hell," Lucas said as Maya saw the stop.
"Okay. I'm heading over to Josh's. Please tell her and good luck. I'll pop in later the evening," Maya said and climbed off.

Heading to a place she has been lately more than enough she opens the door seeing Josh busy with some kind of project.
She smiled as she closed the door and went to stand next to him.
Placing her hand on his shoulder he didn't even say a thing.

"What you busy with?" Maya asked as she sat down next to him.
"A project. Quite difficult," Josh said.
"What about I make us some coffee then you take a break? Looks like you could do with it," Maya said.
"That will be nice," Josh said as Maya put the kettle on.

"How is my niece doing with the... Pregnancy," Josh said and Maya smiled.
"Sleepy but otherwise very good," Maya said.
"I'm glad. For her sake. Remember when Topanga was pregnant with Auggie. Hell is how she described it," Josh said.
