Chapter 13

*The Next Day* 

I go over to Jace's to see if he is home and sure enough he is. I see him getting out of his car I walk up to him with a smile on my face. I needed his help with a plan I came up with to get his boyfriend off of my back. I noticed for several days now that his boyfriend has been watching me and following me lately. I knew he didn't like me much but I didn't know he was going to go as far as start to follow me around. It got to the point where I was thinking about killing him. 

Don't get me wrong that was my plan the entire time. But its too soon for that. So I thought the next big option was to talk to his boyfriend. He seemed to like me a lot Jace and Mark seem the only ones who liked me. But Shay was a different matter he seemed to be really sharp as a whip. He also seems to be afraid of me as well. I couldn't help but smile at that. My Angel has been around them lately too. 

I didn't mind them being around her they were the only guys allowed to be around my girl. I wouldn't let any other guys near her when they tried I gave them a good enough scare. Of course I don't tell her what I do. If she knew what I was doing to them she would be mad at me. She would also stop talking to me as well and that was the last thing I wanted or even needed. She has been digging more into our family history. 

She seems better at finding out the stuff our family has tried to hide over the years. I couldn't help but laugh at how stupid they were. But back then not many people got caught. If they had the technology that we have today. A lot more killers would have been caught. But it seems like even in today's world you could get away with murder. Almost too easily unless you knew how to work the system. Which me and Angel found out quickly that they were really good on that part. 

I shake myself bringing myself back to reality and seeing that Jace noticed me and smiled back when I was in front of him. I guess I wasn't lost in my thoughts for long. "Hey there James fancy seeing you here. What can I do for you?" He asked me. "I was wondering if I could get your help on something," I say to him. "Sure why don't you come inside and we can talk in the living room," he says. He walks inside and I am not far behind him and he takes us to the living room. 

Where we sit and talk. "So what is it that you need my help with exactly?" He asks me with a smile. "Well I know your boyfriend doesn't like me. I was wondering if you could tell me what I can do to change that? I really like you guys and you guys are the first real friends I made here. But no matter what I do or try to say it doesn't seem to change the way he feels about me," I say with a little bit of hurt sounding in my voice when I say that. Jace frowns and seems sad when he hears the hurt. 

"Well the thing with Shay here it takes him a while to warm up to people. It took me a long while to get him to warm up to me. I never thought he would but after a couple of years getting to know each other. He seemed to warm up to me so really the key here is patience. But also you gotta show him that he can like you don't try so hard. You can just be yourself he will grow to like you if you do just that," Jace says. 

I think about what he told me and I smiled real big already having a plan forming in my head. "Thank you Jace I really appreciate it I will just do what you just told me," I say with a smile on my face. "Do you want to stay over and just hang out for a little bit? Or do you already have plans for the day?" He asked me. I smile sadly and I get up. "I would love too but I can't I actually need to head back out. I'm meeting up with family soon and they don't like to wait for long so I should best be on my way," I said. 

Jace looked sad at first but then he smiles at me. "Well that's just too bad then I was looking forward on us hanging out some. We normally don't get to do that lately but oh well next time then. If you ever need any help with anything else just let me know," he says to me. I nodded my head and I leave his place and I head towards my car and I get in and drive away. I go over Shays place and sure enough. He was also at home and when I walk up towards his house he turns around and looks at me. 

I see both fear and resentment in his eyes he tries to hide it from me quickly by turning away from me. But it was too late for that I already saw it but that was just fine with me. I didn't need him to like me for long. Just long enough to do my plan and then taking everyone out at once. There can be no one left alive otherwise we could get caught. I knew full well that we had little over then ninety percent rate of being caught. The ten percent being that we could get away and they wouldn't be able to find us at all. 

"Hi James what can I do for you?" He asked me. I was tempted to call him out on the way he was looking at me. But I knew it would be stupid to do that. So I just put on my smile and get up close and personal. I knew he wasn't going to like that and sure enough I was right. He takes a step back and puts distance between us. "Well the thing is I was hoping to get your help with something. That is if you don't mind helping me out at all," I say. He opens his mouth to speak then closes it again. 

"It depends on what you need help with. If its in my power to help you out then sure I don't mind it at all," he said. "Well I was wondering if you could go shopping with me and help me pick out a costume for the party? If you can't or not able to that is fine with me," I said. Shay looked like he wanted to do anything else besides that. But I knew he wasn't going to back out on it. 

Sure enough he opens his mouth. "Sure that would be fine when did you want to do this?" He asked me. I couldn't help but smile at him. "Can we do it today if its not too much trouble? Unless you had other plans made that is?" I asked him. He smiled at me and shakes his head no. "Nope I am free so we can do this now if you would like," he said. "Shall we take my car then?" I asked him. 

I knew that was the last thing he wanted was for us to take my car. But he nods his head and we both head over to my car. I let him in and I start the car and heads out. At first neither one of us opens our mouth to talk. But it isn't long before he speaks up. "I will be honest with you about something and I want to make sure that you won't get mad at me for what I am about to say," he says to me. I wait for him to talk and at first he doesn't say anything. "Alright what is it that you wanted to say? I am all ears," I say to him.
