I rushed into Lucia's arms, and and felt the tears flow down my face. I haven't seen her since highschool. "Oh my god. Is it really you?" She cracked out. I couldn't believe it. I thought I would never see her again. Lucia and I weren't biologically sisters no, we just might as well have been. When I was couch surfing, Lucia hosted me almost every night. We had been friends since middle school. Half way through my senior year she disappeared without a trace. Her parents were devastated. We put up poster after poster, stayed up until 3 am calling police stations, psych wards, hospitals, just to see if anyone had a clue as to where she had gone. Our entire town was devestated. "Love? Do you Um mind explaining?" Johnny asked with a hopeful face. My eyes panned to the other guest in the room. The one I can only assume captured Lucia. Before I could even think I pounced at him. No one saw it coming. I latched onto his torso like a squirrel and started scratching at his face. I could hear Lucia yell in horror as Johnny stood there baffled. The man beneath me stood still looking wide eyed at Johnny. He finally snapped out of his daze and pulled me off of the man. " WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" Johnny screamed.
I looked over at the man donning fresh cart had marks on his face with a smirk. I'm glad I could get some damage done. "HE" I emphasized pointing toward the man, "took Lucia. He just fucking took her. We spent days and nights looking for her for months. Everyone was devestated. Her mom still hangs posters and it's been four years. He is evil." I sneered. The man started snickering at my comments. I tried making another run for him but Johnny had an iron grip around my waist. "We DO NOT hit people in this household. I don't care how angry you are doll, it's a no." "Please excuse us Mariano and Lucia this little one right here and I need to have a chat." I kept my head down as Johnny dragged me into the spare bedroom down the hall.
Closing the door I could feel his entire presence change with his back to me. I backed away to the other side of the wall afraid of what was to come next. His shoulders tensed up and as he turned to face me, his entire face hardened. "You know the rules love, you know we do not hit I- -" "but he took her Johnny he fucking took her. She had a loving family and he just took her. He took her from me. I was heartbroken" I interrupted. " But that gives you no right to go after him like that. You will be going out to apologize, a god damn sincere one too." I scoffed. " I will do absolutely nothing of the sort. I despise that man." I seethed out. "Okay suit yourself. You can sit in here their entire visit, and deal with my consequences when they leave. You knew the rules and still decided to act as you did." "But that's not fucking fair" I yelled. " you just keep digging yourself in a deeper hole love I'm very disappointed. The yelling, the swearing, the hitting are not tolerated in this household." Maybe I have to teach you a lesson. Hmm?"
I stiffened up at the thought of what he could have in store. Against my better judgment I nodded my head and whispered out that I would apologize. "I think you need to spend a little time in here first to calm down. "I'll come get you in a few minuites."
With that he left and slammed the door, making me jump. I've never seen him so cold, I guess I really screwed up. But he fucking took her. Just like Johnny did to me. I wonder if she likes him like how I like Johnny now. My thoughts were interrupted as the door slowly opened.
Expecting Johnny I looked down at my hands in embarrassment. "Hey" said a light voice. My head shot up to see Lucia. I raced into her arms again giving her a big hug. "Are you okay?" I questioned. "I'm perfectly fine Cassie bear, I love him I promise" she chuckled. "But he he took you" I said confused. "And Johnny took you. Look I felt anything but love for him at first, but he really grew on me Cassie I love him. Just give him a chance." I looked up to her with tears in my eyes. "It was so hard without you Lucia. I needed you, and I thought I was never ever going to see you again." She hugged me close to her chest and sighed. "I know, but please for me just give him a chance." I ran it over in my head before nodding. If she really wanted me to I would do it. I have always trusted her judgment. "Thankyou she whispered. Really he's not bad. He loves me, even gave me an out of all this." "He did?" "Mmmhm, I almost left too, he dropped me off at a starbucks with about two grand. I got out, but when I turned around to wave goodbye I saw tears in his eyes. I knew it was real then I knew he wasn't just putting on a show." " But you chose captivity Lucia how?" "After that he trusted me I guess you could say. I go out whenever I want, I live a normal life. I mean it still irks me that he took me, but we got over that together." "Really?" I questioned. "Enough about me how are you holdin up Cassie bear?" she questioned. I sighed "I don't know. We have a lot of fun, I really like him but I just can't shake the feeling of getting out. I would never get him in trouble for what he's done, but I just want to live my own life make my own decisions you know." " I know what you mean, but I think you should really give it a chance. I know he feels heartbroken about how taking you affected you trust me on that. But this whole lifestyle Cassie ear is something I think you could really enjoy. Give it a shot." " I have been I've been trying, I just feel like something is still holding me back. I feel like he still doesn't trust me and honestly I don't trust him that much either." I said starting to get frustrated. "Talk to him, ask him about himself. Really get to know him." Honestly she was right I didn't spend that much time talking about our lives or at least important things. "I'll try my best."
"Cmon they're probably waiting for us out there." We made our way out to the kitchen, hearing the two men laughing on our way. I focused my eyes on the floor, not wanting to make eye contact with either of them. I could hear the laughing stop as we entered the kitchen. Lucia made her way over to Mariano's arms. I stood head down in the middle of the kitchen as Johnny came up behind me and put his arms around me. "I'm pretty sure you owe somone an apology love" he whispered. "Sorry" I whispered back. "You know that's not what I meant love" he said as he gripped my waist tighter. I lifted my head to see the couple both smiling at each other sharing hushed words. I guess she really did love him. Johnny and I made our way over as I took a deep breath. "I um I'm sorry that I uh ya know scratched your face." Lucia smiled at me as did he. "It's okay little one, I understand let's just not make a habit of it." He chuckled. I smiled a little and turned my face back into Johnny. "So how about some lunch everyone" Johnny announced.

I truly apologize for such the long wait. I honestly did not plan on coming back to this story, but something just told me to start writing again. I'm not sure how often I will be updating but I would truly love to thank every reader that has ever read this book.
