Description: Your boyfriend, Newt, is worried about you when you aren't getting enough sleep, and your skipping out on meals. Your overworking yourself, and that ends up taking a toll on you that scares Newt.

You saw your boyfriend, Newt, crouching over the ground, pulling out some weeds from in between the crops. About 20 feet away, you were crouched down doing the same thing. Though you'd never admit it, the six straight hours of work in the blazing sun was taking a toll on you.

Dark bags circled your eyes from the sleepless nights that only Newt knew about. Add to that a tendency to skip meals, and being known to over work yourself, and you get a very overprotective boyfriend. Newt had even offered you multiple times to let you take a day to rest, or take an extra break during the day. To his obvious dismay you refused, claiming you couldn't be slacking off.

You didn't know why you were so stubborn. You just couldn't help yourself. Being in maze full of boys had the effect of pushing yourself past your limits, and not in a good way. Even when doing everything you could, it still wasn't enough to keep up with the boys, and you knew they looked down on you for it. Some probably even wished you'd get eaten by a griever, or that the creators would have sent another boy up instead of you.

You stood up from your crouching position with a groan. Your muscles aches as you wiped the sweat off your forehead. You stumbled over your feet, catching yourself against a tree while you waited for your head to stop spinning.

"Probably shouldn't have skipped breakfast," you mutter to yourself, shaking your head a few times to get rid of the stars.

Once your vision cleared, you arched your back into your hands, sighing in relief when you felt the satisfying crack.

After taking a few minutes to stretch your legs, you slipped your over shirt off, leaving you in a light blue tank top with jean shorts. Your hair was pulled up in a messy bun, and some strands had fallen out, framing your face.

A loud catcall sounds from behind you, and you turn to see Zart, the only other track-hoe, smirking at you with a playful glint in his eyes.

"Oh shuck off slinthead," you shot at him while giving him an obscene gesture, a smile playing at your lips. Zart was just being stupid and joking, and you both knew that, that trust between you two having come from years of friendship in the Glade.

"What," he laughs, feigning innocence. "Can I not look at the best view in the Glade?"

"That View happens to be my girlfriend, so how about you turn away before I toss you to the bloody grievers," you heard Newt say from behind you. You hadn't realized he had walked over to you and Zart.

"Oh come on Newt. I'm just messin with her," Zart defends, holding his hands up in surrender.

"I'm not messin with you," Newt shot back while placing a protective arm around your waist. It was funny to watch when he got jealous even though he knew Zart really was just messing with you.

Deciding not to test the level of truth to Newts statement, Zart just turned back to his work.

You turn to Newt, a goofy grin on your face. "What?" He whines, keeping his arms securely around your waist while yours reach up to wrap around his neck.

"Have I ever told you you're really cute when you're jealous?" You cock your head, a playful curiousness in your eyes.

"I am not jealous," he mutters, a pout on his lips. "I'm just protectin my girl. Somethin wrong with that?"

"Just keep telling yourself that, Mr. Second-in-Command." You smirk at the use of his least favorite nickname.

"I told you not to call me that," he grumbles in a low voice, glaring at two boys who walked past the gardens who you assumed were looking at you.
