Proposal

A/n sup frens. My updating schedule is random I don't have one lol, but I do have online school so updates will probly be slow. Also I always end up writing at night it's when I get inspiration so sorry.

*Y/n POV*

I wake up with a groan at my alarm clock's annoying beeping. Thankfully I only have to go to the salon and do 3 makeup appointments. I am a manager at a makeup and hair salon for like bands and their significant others helping them get ready for shows and events. Today was a light day.

I get up and out of bed to go get a shower. The warm water slightly waking me up more. Once I'm finished showering I get out wrapped in my towel and go to get dressed. I put on my sundress and grab my white vans. I make my way downstairs to grab a bagel for breakfast and head out to the car. I turn on the ignition and head to work.

After my three scheduled appointments I was told I had a walk-in to handle. Tyler, my long-term boyfriend Josh's best friend, walks in and greets me. "Hey Tyler! What's up? I didn't know there was an event today." I question. "There's not I just came to deliver a message." he answers as I give him a confused look. He hands me a folded puce of card stock. I go to open it and Tyler interrupts me, " Nope. Don't open it until you get home. Now go! I'll tell Jenna that you left." I quickly reply with a small ok and leave.
(I forgot to mention you and Jenna opened the salon together so y'all are like co-owners I guess)

I head home in almost silence, the only notice coming from the quiet humming of the radio. I was too anxious to find out what this note was about. I pull into our driveway noticing Josh isn't home yet. I walk to the front door and unlock it. I set my bags down and sit on the couch and open the note. It reads,

"Clue #1
We have been together for 2 years now. There has been a lot of memories, some just between us and some in certain places.
Go to the place where all our late night, 3 AM thoughts are.
There you will find your next clue."

I sit there confused as to what's happening. Then I look over the card again and I see written on the front it has Josh's signature on it. 'Oh lord what is this crazy man thinking' I think to myself. I make my way to our shared bedroom knowing that's what he's talking about.

As I walk into the room and see a pretty yet simple yellow romper with another card on it. I know this wasn't here when I left this morning. I open the card and read it.

"Clue #2
I see you've found the outfit I left for you. Get changed and make sure to take your makeup off.
Now hop in the car and drive to the place where we get ready for shows."

At first I have to think about this one. Then it clicks the salon the boys always get ready for close shows there. I change my dress and put the romper on and head back to the salon. I pull up and walk in greeted by Jenna. Jenna pulls me into a hug and says, "I see it has started." I give her a questioning look and she shrugs it off as if she's said to much. She guides me to her station and sits me down. She hands me another card. It reads,
"Clue #3
Now that you have a new dress it's time for a new look. Let Jenna do her job and get you ready ;)
Once your new look is done head to the place you always beg me to go. There is someone there waiting for you to listen if your catching my beat."

I look at Jenna and she smirks at me. "Your in on it aren't you?" "I have no idea what your talking about" she winks at me. "Whatever just do your worst" I say jokingly while waking the card at her. She cuts my hair and dies it a dirty blonde as I requested. Then she moves to my makeup. She gives me a simple natural smoky eye with a nude lip.
