"Alrighty, one scoop of chocolate.. That's a buck twenty-five. Anything else?" The girl shook her head as she handed him the money. He took the time to glance down at the writing on her sweatshirt. "Woah.. Purdue? Fancy."

"Yeah! I'm excited." She nodded with a grin. Ramona rolled her eyes as she watched Steve shamelessly flirt with the two girls who were obviously uninterested. She crossed her arms, grumbling to herself in Spanish. Robin gave her a look, humming to herself. Ramona shot her a look, raising one eyebrow as she crossed her arms. "What?"

Robin pursed her lips, raising her hands in surrender. "Nothing, nothing."

"Robin." Ramona warned, shooting the girl a look as she rose her eyebrows. "What is it?"

Robin's lips curved into a teasing smile as she adjusted the sailor tie around her neck. "Nothing, nothing. Don't worry about it."

"Yeah, you know.. I considered it, Purdue, but then I was like.. You know what? I really think I need some real-life experience, before I, you know before I hit college.. You know, see what it feels like.." Steve began to stumble over his words. "Kinda like, I don't know, see what it's like to earn a working man's wage.. You know, uh.."

The girls shared a look of concern as the register began to malfunction. "Uh, I'm sorry. I think that's really important."

"Yeah, totally." One of them said sarcastically.

"Yeah, anyways, this was like so fun." Ramona scoffed under her breath as she crossed her arms and shook her head. She looked away from Steve's flirting attempt and slid down the wall. Robin glanced down at her, giving her another look. "We should kind of like.. I don't know.. Maybe hang out this weekend, Oh, sorry about that. I don't know.. Maybe next weekend, or.."

"Yeah, I'm busy." The girl answered.

"Oh, that's cool! I'm working here next weekend, the following weekend's better for me.." Ramona could hear the awkwardness dripping from his voice.

"No, I can't.. Sorry.. Uh, okay, thanks."

"I-I.. This is, uh, my first day here."

Ramona grumbled under her breath in Spanish as she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. Robin hummed to herself, pursing her lips and nodding her head slowly.

"Stop looking at me like that!" Ramona hissed, swatting at Robin's calves. "Eres la peor."

"¿Te gusta él? ¿Si?" Robin whispered, a teasing smile dancing across her lips as she watched Ramona's face redden.

She shook her head quickly, resting her hands on her bare and bruised knees, "¡No! ¡No me gusta él!"

Robin rolled her eyes, sliding the white board from behind the wooden posts. "And another one bites the dust! You are O-for-six, Popeye."

Ramona giggled turning and pushing herself up. She leaned on the divider, a playful smirk dancing across her lips as she locked eyes with an annoyed Steve. "Yeah yeah.. I can count."

"And the FFA saga continues." Ramona stuck her tongue out at Steve as he ran his hand through his hair.

Steve rolled his eyes, giving her a look as he rose his eyebrows, "FFA?"

"Ah, yes. The FFA: Failed Flirting Attempts." Ramona waved her hands sarcastically. Robin giggled, pointing to the words written above the tally marks.

"You know that means you suck."

"Yeah, I can read, too."

"Since when?" Robin countered, handing Ramona the whiteboard so she could rest it against the wall.

"It's this stupid hat!" Steve groaned, resting his hands on the divider and turning his head to look at Ramona. "I'm telling you, it's totally blowing my best feature."

"Yeah, company policy is a real drag." Robin poked her lip out, shaking her head. "You know, it's a crazy idea.. But have you considered.. Telling the truth?"

"Oh, you mean that I couldn't even get into Tech and my douche bag dad's trying to teach me a lesson? I make three bucks an hour and I have no future, that truth?"

"Hey, twelve o'clock." Robin pointed to the girls who had just entered the ice cream shop. Ramona rolled her eyes, glancing over at Ramona who sent her a cheesy grin. Steve glanced back at them, his back straightening as he turned around and locked eyes with Ramona.

"Shit, okay, um.. Okay, I'm going in.. And you know what?" Steve said, pulling the hat from his head and quickly resting it on Ramona's head. "Screw company policy."

"Oh, my god.. You're a whole new man." Robin said sarcastically, glancing at Ramona in the corner of her eye as she readjusted the hat on her head with a ghost of a smile on her face. "Wow, estás tan enamorado."

Ramona froze, turning to glare at the girl, "Jódete!"

"No lo negaste.." Robin trailed off, causing Ramona to scoff and roll her eyes. She didn't like Steve, there was absolutely no way she liked Steve. She couldn't.. It was Steve for crying out loud! Nancy's ex. Her best friend's fucking ex. It wasn't possible for her to like Steve, not to her at least. It didn't make any sense.

Robin snickered, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall. She had her eyes trained on Ramona as she fidgeted with the cross necklace she wore. Mindlessly, she reached up and readjusted the hat she wore on her head against. Ramona barely even noticed the set of eyes on her as she watched the four girls. Robin could clearly see the green monster creep up Ramona's spine and take over her mind as she tightened her fist around the black object hanging from the silver chain around her neck. The short haired girl could see it from miles away. Ramona was clearly into Steve, not that her stubborn ass would ever admit to that. But Robin would make sure she did.

Robin was rarely wrong about these things. And sure, there was a chance she was completely wrong. But she didn't believe she was this time. It made sense to Robin, everything added up. But on the other hand.. Maybe Ramona was serious, the girl had never ever lied to Robin in the past, and she would tell her if she had a crush on someone.. even if it was Steve. Ramona sighed, turning around and sinking to the floor. She extended her legs, stretching her arms as she pushed the sailor hat up from covering her eyes. Robin glanced over at Steve as he leaned on the counter. She knew this wasn't gonna go well for him.

"Ahoy, ladies! Didn't see you there." Steve said, causing the girls to gasp and glance at each other. "Would you guys like to set sail on this ocean of flavor with me? I'll be your captain.. I'm Steve Harrington. Can I get you guys a little taste of Cherry Jubilee? No? Anybody? Banana boat? Four people? Four spoons? Share it in the booth? It's hot here.. Anybody?"

Robin rolled her eyes, stepping past Ramona and adding a seventh tally to the board. She was right.
