I let my hands fall back to my sides as I watch his plane depart slowly. The lights in the airport seem to dim as I watch the remnants of his presences slip from my mind. All I can think is that I need to find a phone and call him, hear his voice again. I never knew that is could be this hard. I don't take the time to feel the pain before I leave the airport in a hurry. The humidity in the air makes a thin layer of moisture glitter my forehead. My car is parked closer to the front of the parking lot than I remember but I don't think much of it. The tears fall when I see the note scribbled in the condensations of the windshield. "Don't worry, I'll be home soon Baby."
