I woke up the next morning in an empty bed.
My guess is that Cody must have left for his appointment already since it was almost 9.
I texted Madi to make sure that she was still picking me up before getting into the shower.
I blow dried my hair and curled it along with doing my normal makeup.
It was colder than usual out so i put on black ripped jeans, one of Cody's dodger hoodies and a jean jacket, along with some silver jewelry.
I put my shoes on and grabbed my phone before letting Kota out and meeting Madi outside.
"Hi I haven't seen you in forever." I said hugging her tightly.
"I know I'm so excited it's been so long." She said.
During the drive we had normal conversation but it was weirder than normal.
"I feel like I'm going crazy why is everyone acting so weird." I said.
"I don't know just getting back into the baseball groove again." Madi said looking away and out the window.
"What am I missing?" I said making her laugh.
We pulled into a the stadium and into a spot.
We made it inside and found our seats.
We talked for a while, while the boys were warming up.
The game was over and the boys had won 4-2.
Cody looked around and met my eyes smiling.
He waved his hand towards him and mouthed come here.
I looked at him confused but Madi stood up.
"Where are we going?" I asked as we walked.
"Dugout." She said making me turn towards her.
After a few minutes we stepped into the dugout and Cody walked over.
"Come on." He said nodding towards the field.
He grabbed my hand and I followed him onto the field.
"What are we doing babe?" I asked as he stopped and I looked around at everyone looking at us.
I turned back to him on his knee.
I immediately covered my mouth with my hand.
"Scarlett I love you more than anything and I'm so glad that I was lucky enough to meet you and if someone told me I would be here right now last year before I met you I would think that they were crazy. I can't wait any longer without you being my wife I want to love you forever and the little things that you do or how out of your way you go to make everyone else happy. I want to make you happy and feel loved until the day that you die I love you Scarlett Leithold will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" He said opening up the ring in his hands.
At this point I was crying and he wiped away at his eyes.
"Yes yes yes Cody Bellinger I love you." I said and he stood up and picked me up.
I wrapped my arms and legs around him as he leaned away and kissed me.
He set me down after a minute and put the ring on as I was in awe.
I felt someone hug around the both of us and I looked over to see Ashli.
"What?" I said pulling away and hugging her.
The rest of his family ran out and hugged us.
I found cody again and he grabbed me once more.
"I feel like this isn't real life." I said making him laugh.
"So that's why everyone's been acting weird as fuck lately." I said.
"Yup baby and the appointment this morning. And me coming home late I was talking with the boys about this." He said kissing my forehead.
"We're getting married." I said.
"You're going to be Mrs. Bellinger." Cody said making me smile.
We went out to dinner with his family and eventually said goodnight and headed home.
We opened the door to be greeted by Kota jumping on us.
Cody shut the door and grabbed me pushing me against it.
I immediately kissed him and ran my hands through his hair.
He lifted my shirt above my head as I did the same.
He grabbed my legs and lifted me up walking upstairs.
I let go of him and pushed him down onto the bed and straddled him.
