A/N this is a repost from a short book I'm deleting. So if you think you've seen it before that's why

David paced outside Archie's front door. It was just after midnight, and he hoping the other man would answer. He needed someone to talk with about all of the family drama, and Archie told him to come over if he ever needed anything at anytime.

The door opened to revile Archie is a grey button up shirt and a pair of dress pants. His eyes were wide and he holding a finger to his mouth telling David to keep quite.

David nodded and stepped into the dark house. "Why are the light out?" David whispered, following Archie.

Archie pointed to the couch as they walked by. There was someone asleep there, but they were wrapped up in a blanket and facing the couch.

They walked into the kitchen and Archie turned on the light above the sink. "Sorry." Archie half smiled and shrugged.

"What for?"

"Well, you had to wait outside in the cold wile I found pants. Only to be let into a dark house where you have to be quite." Archie turned on the sink, and filled a glass with water. "Do you want some?"

"No thank you." David leaned against the counter and crossed his arms. "Can I ask a personal question."

"Yeah." Archie sipped his water.

David hesitated "Did you get laid?"

Archie smiled a bit, his pail complexion flushing cheery red. He sipped his water, "Maybe." A smile spread across his face. It was about time a smart woman took interest in Archie. He was a good guy. "Did you need something?"

"Oh, Emma is angry at me again. I just needed someone to talk to. I can leave if you want."

"No. No. Please stay. It's fine. Tell me what's going on."

David was about to start when he heard a muffled noises coming from the living room. Crying/screaming noises.

Archie's eyes lit up, "I will be right back." He ran past David and David watched his slip onto the couch. "Hey, it's okay. You're here with me. You aren't with him. It's going to be okay. Tell me what happened."

"He..." David gasped out loud. Gold? "He made me go back to the man..." then crying again.

"Shhh. Hey, it's okay." Archie sighed. "David Nolan is here. Alright?" No response, except the crying ceased. "Do you want some water, maybe?" Archie asked after a minute.

Archie stood up, and Gold followed his movements. Archie stared to walk towards the kitchen, hand in hand with Gold.

Gold held his head up high, looking as proud as ever, even though he was holding Archie's hand in grey sweatpants and a t shirt. He didn't have the same terrifying affect though.

Gold glared at David as he was led into the kitchen, "Good evening Charming." The last work was sly, and obviously meant to cut David a little.

It would have, had Gold been wearing his suit, or had his hair brushed, or he hadn't been bawling only a moment before. He looked small and frail. His eyes swollen and red. Tears had stained his face, and more welled in his eyes. David wondered what had happened to make the all powerful Rumplestiltskin so, so, afraid.

Archie grabbed his water glass from the counter and handed it to Gold. He stepped behind Gold, wrapping his arms around the other mans waist. Gold sipped his water looking at the floor.

Yes. He looked weak.
