(ALEX'S POV)

I stood at the front door of Jonathan's suite, unknown as to why I was filled with trepidation. I finally muster up the courage to knock as I straighten out myself for what was to come. The door opened up immediately by Jon who seemed much better than he was before.

I entered surveying if there were any changes to the suite from the last time I was here. It stumped me for my eyes to see who occupied the living room seats. There were four other familiar people that had no business being associated with each other.

"What are all of you doing here?" I asked in shock and a lot of confusion. 'How do they know each other?' I thought to myself.

"Please take a seat, Alexander. You might want to hear us out while sitting down." The voice of Jean Beauchêne said to me as he referred to himself and three others, Agent Baker, Agent Miller and Martin Hayes.

They all sat, dressed in suits, looking like they had some secret cult meeting and this was my initiation, 'WTF?! What is with all this surprising revelation for the past month?'

"Can someone please explain to me what the hell is going on?" I said barely restraining myself from snapping at them. "Is this some sort of conspiracy against me or some shit because I can't think of any reason why the four of you are associated with each other?"

"Youngster these days don't value the importance of patience" Jean exclaimed in exasperation making the others chuckle in response. "Alexander, please sit down. It's really important for you to hear us out before you jump to conclusion."

I was conflicted but I realized that I didn't really have a choice but to listen to them. I sat down in front of all of them.

Jean sighed in relief, "Thank you." He got himself comfortable before he started to tell me of his story. "It started a year ago when I had decided that it was time to hand over my business to someone else due to my health problems. My requirement was a person that was trustworthy and had no ties to any underground activities like most of the rival companies in Europe. That was why I looked elsewhere.

"After careful investigations and advice from my employees, I was led to your company. The positive information about your company left a major impression on me that I had decided that you were the one that I would leave my company to, but just because you were the best candidate doesn't mean that the people around you were innocent. I had them investigate on your family and friends background."

I was a bit pissed off about that but it is business. You cannot guaranty who would betray you. Be it your family, friends or your employees. I saw the PI give Jean a photo from the file he had on hand before Jean tossed it on the table. It was a photo of Adeline, Jonathan's wife.

I was completely confused by it that I had to ask, "What does Adeline have to do with any of this?"

Jean released a deep breath before answering, "Her real name is Sophia Alfonsi and she's the reason that my business almost fell into shambles thirty years ago.

'....'

"What?!"...

(JAMES' POV)

It has been a few hours since Aryan had left. I was still panicking and pacing on what to do with this news.

"Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh shit! Shit! Shit! SHIT!" I was falling into disarray as I realized something important.

"I don't understand why you are swearing. You're the one that suspected that the photos were fake", said an amused Trent as he watch me fall into panic.
