A Force Of Her Own

Chapter One

  Poe still holding me, as I catch my breath sweat dripping down my face.  He looks at me concerned.  I glance around, Ahsoka and Finn standing in the doorway also looking concerned.

  “I am ok” I say getting up.  They all look at me, “I was thinking we could go into jakku today Rey”, says poe.
I nod grabbing some clothes before going into the bathroom.

  “Rey when your done come down and get some breakfast”, I let her know ill be down shortly. 
I let the shower heat up so the steam starts to fog up the mirror, I then step in letting the water wrap itself around me.  I take a deep breath trying to forget about the dream. 

  I make my way down stairs, poe smiles at me, I glance around.

  “where is Finn”? I ask, reaching for some Porg strips.  They tell me Naomi came and they went into jakku as well, I guess a date! 
I nod soon we take off in the falcon to jakku.

  I grew up on jakku but have not been back since.  I stare out as we land, I see the town full of life as always, I smile slightly.
“poe what are we doing here”, I ask glancing at him.

  “well I figured it would be good for you to get out of the house”, he flips of the controls. I nod we get off, the warm desert air blowing sand into my ankles slightly stinging them. 

  I tell them am going to go walk around, showing poe I have my saber, he nods! 
  I make my way thru the bustling crowds, different from when I remember it, I soon make me away to a quiet part, slightly away from the main part of town. 
  I come to a pile of rubble, I climb over large rocks and a wall, well half a wall.  I stand in the crater and look around, the wind gently blowing, I close my eyes.

  RUN Rey please love run as far away as you can!

I hear my mother’s voice frantic; I still feel her grabbing me and pushing me towards the town!

Explosions all around I cried, MAMMMB, I screamed, I didn’t want to let go of her hand, but suddenly an explosion shook the ground, she led go.  She was grabbed by trooper and taken into a large ship.

MAMMMB, I screamed again, I started running towards town, I ran as fast as my little legs could carry me.  Tears streaming down burning as it reached small cuts on my face.

  I stumble and fall, ty fighter screaming over my head I cover my head shaking in fear, I suddenly feel someone pick me up and cradle me while running, I look back up at the sky reaching my hand out crying as the ship takes off. 

I open my eyes now holding a handful of sand, tears rolling down my dry skin causing it to sting slightly, “I am sorry”, I whisper. 

  I look down at the sand beneath me, and sob!

  I suddenly hear a roar in the distance, something I haven’t heard in a while, but I recognize it!

TY FIGHTERS, I scramble to my feet and start running back into town, explosions send me flying.
  I BLACK OUT!

I wake up a few moments later, my ears ringing, I wince at the pain and feel blood pouring down my face, dust and debris falling around people running and trampling over each other, although I can’t hear I see children standing there in fear crying.

  I shake my head “this isn’t happening “, I tell myself to wake up, but I am awake!

This is happening, I stumble to my feet, feeling a searing pain in my side I grab my side and limp to a tent, I hold onto a pole.
POE! AHSOKA! I scream over the loud explosions raining more debris on me, I close my eyes and hug the pole tight. 

  EVERYTHING GOES BLACK!
